cant even get character screen to load. Was on server since 10AM. Now everyone who got on at launch is in game and im sitting here twiddling my thumbs. Classic blizzard launch…
I realize that it will be all cleared up and that there are actually outside influences that can be unjustly affecting the launch. I guess it’s my fault for getting excited, again, about an expansion. Yes, been around since vanilla and have felt this all too familiar feeling many times. I get it, stop whining. Just once I’d love to get in and start when the clock strikes zero and the flood gates are open. Guess I’m off to go mow the lawn. Pre- thanks for getting it all worked out Blizz.
Same issue here. Illidan not letting me in…realllllly frustrating experience.
I have sorta been able to get in but its taking an eon and a half to do so. Loading screens are incredibly slow, and it takes on average 15 minutes+ to login every time I am disconnected.

I know, that was my attempt at being sarcastic. Basically the person that I quoted above was reading off of a page ie, help desk. Those are some of, it not all the things that are blamed for causing issues while at the same time blaming anything but the actual issue.
The ironic thing here is that they lease their servers. But with the sub fees / month in excess of (last I read) $58 million, they could at the very least have learned from previous experiences and spun up hundreds of vm’s (or extra servers) to handle login issues among other things ahead of time and take them off line once the issue has been sorted (on patch day during maintenance preferably.) Then again it’s a corporation, and they are really only after that $$, so I don’t expect much even if the same issue has been happening for over 15 years every single patch / expansion / beta.
It’s a shame. Other companies and gaming companies don’t have anywhere near the same issues year after year, yet they are supposed to be a titan in the mmo market.

This is impacting low pop servers too, I tried Dentarg, Whisperwind, and Garrosh. Same thing as Area 52, Stormrage. Char list on the server loads, then a loading screen, then a message of char not found returning to the server’s char list.
Inb4 it’s blamed on 'rona.
You can see just how much this is a big issue for them, it’s not even making the Breaking News.

Well I was able to get in for about 10 minutes. Bolvar’s name was Unknown and the quest was broken. Abandoned it and started over, then DCed 
They might not want to reset the servers that some streamers are being successful with, or at least it feels that way.
You know I value Equinox’s statement regarding learning from their mistakes. Whatever their reasons are, at least theirs other MMORPGs to occupy time while they work out the issues. Hell my girlfriend is sitting next to me and she’s no streamer but she’s in but scared to continue past Bolivar while I keep getting what all you fine folks are getting “character not found”. I’m seriously trying to find the humor in this. I hope that they are able to fix this and everyone can eventually log in. I miss the old days where deleting the WTF file fixes it. Meh, wish you all luck!
