I donāt think WoW will ever die. I just want to see a new MMORPG come along that isnāt complete garbage.
Honestly no, if this expansion flops than my plan is to move over to the other games I play. Find a new main game as it were. Probably RuneScape (itās a game that is very close to my heart no matter itās age)
In truth I have no idea if it is actually wow or if it was me that changed. I havenāt really been excited for the game in a while, and I was planning on stopping in dragonflight (I never really played dragonflight mostly sticking to some of the most casual ways of playing possible, heck I went a lot harder in remix than I did in Dragonflight).
With the announcement of them wanting to focus on an epic story spanning 3 expansions, I decided to stay around to see the start of the epic story. But Iāve been on a slow move out of wow for the last few years.
Iām okay with sticking around if the story really grabs me, but I still see wow just being one of the āotherā games I play and not really my main interest.
I donāt need to thanks to YouTube, but if the game is still entertaining then I will.
I get where youāre coming from. The last time I can honestly say I had a lot of fun and played for an extended period was back in Legion.
Since then, I only come back out of habit every few months to catch up on content, then take another long break.
As for TWW, Iāll probably skip it entirely, given what weāve seen of it so far.
Unless something happens that makes me not want or able to play it, then sure.
I view WoW as a medium for the community Iām part of. It is a game that I enjoy and nothing more or less than that. What matters to me are the folks I play it with and thus⦠if something changes from now and 2029 (per them saying it wonāt last until 2030), sure.
Genuinely curious what makes you say this. Because TWW is shaping up to be one hell of an incredible expansion. Of course way too early to call it but the release content and zones are awesome, with really nice storytelling as well.
I already mentioned it in my first reply in this thread, so Iād just be repeating myself. But hey, if youāre having fun with it, thatās awesome!
I like the new zones. But, I am hoping they change the formula a bit. The mythic +++++++ and 4 raid modes are the only way to play and they need to bring adventure back to the game.
The short answer: Yes.
The Warcraft universe stole my heart a long time ago. Some things are going in ways I donāt particularly care for, but I always have plenty remaining that I love about this immense fantasy world.
have you heard of this thing called Delves?
Iāll see the world soul saga to its end.
But how good it is will determine what I do moving forward from there.
Yes, ESO has had them for 10 years now.
Who knows
Hopefully i can. But you never know what can happen in 6 years.
It will, it just wonāt be another game that kills it. Too many addicts that ādonāt want to start overā in a new game for said new game to kill WoW. AoC will 100% not be a WoW killer or even close to one, In fact i would say AoC will be like New World okay for a while then have a player base drop off, and if they are lucky they wonāt become another Crowfall.
I will be 70 if I do. So why not? Iāll muddle along doing easy content. I mean, my odds are fairly good to live into my 70s, so why stop now?
Only Blizzardās fails have ever gotten me to unsub temporarily.
and Planet Earth has had them for close to 10 million years. . . who the F cares about ESO?
Yep. Iāve always enjoyed WoW, even though itās evolved over the years. Nothing stays the same forever and Iām always looking forward to change.
Warbands are +1 for me, even if they do have some weird bugs.
Now Blizzard just needs to make it so you can send work orders to people on your battlenet list who are on another server, as well as to yourself, if you have work orders from your different toons on different servers.
Jeez i dont know now. Total Rabid retaliation against regualr players and posters. its sick tbh
Been here for almost 20 years now. Will probably stick around for the next 6. WOW is the least expensive hobby that I have. Heck a single LEGO build can cost several years worth of WOW.
Jeez, if thatās true Iāll be older than Joe Biden when we finish. /daunting
Hard to be excited about Blizz scraping 10 year old leftovers from another game. lol
