Are you guys okay with the warlock favoritism?

I’m sadly without sound atm (at work) so I just grabbed the first one that popped up.

It’s not your fault, I tried to find a video one time of Ion saying that and there were only a few but they each had someone trying to be funny with edits.

Honestly, this type of stuff makes me happy I only do stuff with my guild super casually.

I didn’t forget that Affliction was top dog for all of WoD. Only eclipsed by Arcane Mage in the twilight months of HFC because of how stupid they got with the Archimonde trinket and maxed out ring. Shadowlands is the first time in roughly a decade where you actually had to change spec to be #1. How inconvenient.

thats the issue pures have , 1 spec is usually way better , so u are kinda “forced” to play that

in SL it sucked because covenants / legendaries.

paladins dont have that issue if they want to play dps , is ret or ret

Pfft prot does more group dmg

Breaking news: Blizzard is trash at class balance! Shocking!

This is what happens when you fire most of the class design team and have a handful of people working on every class instead of having a passionate class lead for each class tending specifically to the one class they favour. Warlocks are still riding high on the creative design and passion Xelnath showed us back in MoP before he was fired, which is a large reason why, despite how hard Blizzard has tried to destroy his legacy, warlocks have continued to be good for so long.

Warlocks being so favoured for so long isnt a problem. Other classes not being favoured is. And until Blizzard actually expands the class design teams so that each class can have a Xelnath leading them, it’s going to continue being a problem.

Yes we’re awesome.

Post like these really make me miss the old forums and wished they didn’t implode on themselves just shortly before Legion launched.

There was a post that sat there that detailed the long history of nerfs and buffs. Warlock being the most nerfed class starting with very first nerf for the class in patch Patch 1.2 (released on 12/18/04.) As well it listed other classes like DKs being heavily nerfed to being close 2nd and interchanging the spot with Paladins after the introduction to “Shockadins” during Wrath PrePatch.

While Mage and Druid often received the most buffs, and Shaman was the most ignored no matter the spec.

Should be Majority of Warlock Mains - as we are often plagued the most by FotM rerolls when the limelight of buffs do shine on us. It is the FotM’ers that become vocal when we get hit with the random nerfs from mid to end of expacs, while the true dedicated locks often figure out what works.

DF is gonna really expose the next FotM Lock rerolls with the new talent system, as well gonna bring forth a new wave of nerfs being demanded for warlock abilities. Any lock main should already know what is gonna get hit hard by first Patch in DF just by simply looking at the trees briefly.

Also the irony that the thread was created by a Rogue… something, something successful dry cleaning shop.

See you get what I mean lol.

Its like when Game Grumps were playing a sonic game and the dragon they were fighting has a “unavoidable chin move” so Arin just starts demanding the dragon or sonic to do things to him.

Thats warlocks to Blizz

Yes… also lol paladin no wonder I never stuck to the class rofl beat by survival too xD.

God no wonder also my desire to play DH never happened 33% in the expansion they were brought and then monk another I tried to main…

Here we thought mage was the favorite.

Let us make a list of people who are not OK with Warlock favoritism.

Soul stones come from some where.

im a warlock of the black harvest.
id be okay with our summoning stone being baseline or our healthstones not being deleted after someone logs out.
gateway can be our thing. same with personal teliport.
no one wants to wait for a guy to walk here or walk out to summon a rando.

I like bosses dying.

Honestly, there’s a big difference between a class/spec played optimally at the highest skill and gear levels topping the dps rankings and a class/spec being fun for the average player. The last time i really had fun with destruction was in MoP, apparently it has been super strong recently but i don’t hop around different classes and specs depending on what’s smashing up the meters from one tier to the next.

I’ve never really played at the highest levels (skill or gear), i just want my character to be fun to play, i’d say that would ring true for most people outside of the 1% types.

the average player probably also likes the theme of warlocks allot.
we all have a edgy phase. some are just constantly edgy

Absolutely.

Yes. Next question please.
