Yes yes i am thank you for asking.
Same here bro! good stuff!
I mean if you find it fun that’s cool, I just dont see the point and it deincentives me since next season we will start over again.
This season I went from 2s to 11s it was fun, and without seasons I’d keep pushing throughout the expac as far as my gear and skill allowed.
Instead on tuesday I’ll be pushing 7 and 8s most likely, and by the time I get back to 10s and 11s I’ll be ilvl 400 or so, but since a 10 will be 30% harder it will be pretty much the same at 400 ilvl as 10s are at 370 now.
If you like it and it keeps ppl subbed I guess that’s a good thing, but I personally think it’s all just a thinly veiled attempt to keep people playing by making them think they are progressing when they arent.
I was fine just looking forward to new seasonal affixe and new raid encounters, plus whatever other new content comes.
Edit, I dont mind increasing in power over an expac, but I think it should be more gradual rather than the method we have now where it goes from 325 to 340 to 370 to probably 400 min ilvl by next patch
Yep, terrible for the game but good for me when I return to the game in 8.2 or 8.3 when blizzard finally gets their shiet together. I am willing to bet I’ll already be a few item levels above the Heroic Raid equivalent within a week of coming back.
It’s damn disgusting how the free loot further exacerbates the increasing item inflation.
They should increase the gear level drop from raids … it’s just wrong that normal raid drops 355 while 370 items are dropping out of the sky for easy solo content
The problem is that it’s far too easy for players to out-gear their skill level. Most of my raid team out-geared Normal Uldir before we even cleared it which pushed us into Heroic before we were ready. In previous expansions we would have a farm night and a progression night. Once we cleared Normal we would run that on Friday then push Heroic progression on Saturday.
Once we downed G’Huun for the first time nobody wanted to run Normal on Fridays since it wasn’t worth the time. We almost fell apart because people got sick of showing up for 2 raid nights without any progress whatsoever to show for it. We still haven’t gotten G’Huun down on Heroic and we’ve held a lockout for 3 or 4 weeks now. That’s almost a whole month without a single boss kill and yet most of us are at ilvl 380 and above.
I’m a dirty casual that hardly plays anymore, and I’m i379. I guess you could argue if that’s good or bad.
I mean, you could look through my profile, I’ve hardly done ANYTHING in this xpac. Killed Ghuun like twice, only in LFR. Still haven’t done all the dungeons (not Heroic, not normal… nothing).
I got i395 gaunts with BiS secondaries from the Darkshore WF this week, and I couldn’t stop laughing at the outright absurdity of it all. I would be the first person to admit I have no real right to be at the gear-level I’m at and yet… here I am.
I don’t think it’s actually bad for the game, though. I might be 380 NOW… but when most people actually farming content were 380, I was probably 345. It’s taken me up to this week to get this high-- basically the point when I enjoy it for a week and then am useless again.
Someone, please tell me were this 370 gear at? look at my gear. I barely going above 350. Been playing for a few months. not getting any. is this a luck thing or something else. No, I do not do mythic a gear not high enough for mythic 1 is reason getting, tried lfr. It a joke. too many high gear raiders just afk and wiping all time. So where is this stuff coming from? thank you in advance.
As a super casual, I enjoy it. I am able to get my alts to a pretty good gear ilvl without much hassle. Yes it is not the best ilvl armor in the game but it works for me and I am sure it works for a lot more people too.
My m+ pally tank is enjoying it.
Probably because this topic, worded a bit differently has been posted 3-4 times this week alone.
Always with the tag line “What are your thoughts?”, or “What do you think”.
Thus people on the forum are getting sick of it already. One, or two threads i think have been deleted, but they ALL were there yesterday because i read all of them and the same arguments were made, about the same subject matter.
Players could be thinking people are using their alts to stir up this subject so blizz does something to either nerf gear and make purps for the 5%, or whatever reason the posters come up with that the majority do not want.
BTW, i did not flag your post.
Out of luck for what, “feels”?
E-peen flexing?
People ask, “why should i mythic raid if i can get the gear other ways”? My answer is, you get to complete the highest content, you get achieves, mounts, the enjoyment of your guild/friends, and the satisfaction you completed the highest content.
If you are doing the highest content for the gear, and theres other ways less strenuous to get the same gear you are raiding for the wrong reasons, why else would you be doing the content besides knowing you did the highest the game has, and beat it? Not for just gear i hope?
Because theres many other ways to play the game besides raiding, and theres gearing paths that reward those other types of players doing the other content you are not doing.
What I dont understand is why they started giving away gear equal to heroic raids before the raid teir was even close to being over, 8.1 hit an there was still weeks of season 1 left, but now we can do 4 world quest an get a 100% guaranteed 370 piece but if we run a plus 10 we just have a chance at a 370 makes sense
They are, because they decided to give players that play all other aspects of the game gearing paths. Why just satisfy the up to 15% who raid above LFR, or the 5% that mythic raid only?
This issue is especially relevant to lfr players. New raid lfr drops 370, a person can be at or above that level before it even releases without doing m+, normal raiding or pvp, esp since lfr wings are gated it could be a month or more before it’s all out.
With forging its likely most players will have several slots 370+ before the final lfr wing is out.
I’m asking people if they think that’s ok. If you only play lfr and had say an average ilvl of 355 or so (340 uldir lfr plus forges and wf quests) would you not be more motivated to do battle for Dazar lfr if almost any drop in there was an upgrade at 370?
If they had waited to up incursion and other rewards till season 2 would it not be better?
If incursions for example dropped 355 gear at release, then on tuesday go up to 370 wouldn’t that make more ppl happy?
That way a 350ish player who wants to be 370 can now get upgrades from lfr, incursions, emissaries, wf quests, m0 or however they want to play.
Right now I would think a good amount of that content has been invalidated as a gearing option be because there are so many 370 gear sources atm.
I have stepped into maybe 1 raid boss (ghuun) and 3 normal dungeons, and had already been over 370 bytime the 2nd warfront was launched. Since all I do is WPVP, and RP, and quest, I really enjoy it, but I can totally understand why people who work hard for their gear dislike it. To me it doesn’t seem fair to them that I can choose another route of gameplay that is less stressful and pop up with gear around their level. (though the itemization is terrible)
I like it, at least I can stay alive out in the world vs mythic players, but it also feels wrong and think a hard limit on Ilvl should be set for quest gears
I love it. Give me more.
No, since I didn’t buy BfA. But I am enjoying the salt of the high and mighty who are upset by it.
You are as high of an ilvl as my mains main healing spec and I’ve killed 84 raid bosses in normal, heroic, and mythic.
And I’ve run mythic dungeons.
Thanks rng on top of rng.
I feel like this is a solid point of view, they should have waited until after season 2 started to give 370s away like they are.
