Are all you guys new to wow?
You said deluge…roflmoa
So nobody answered my question can I get a better sword next week ??? will heriocs drop me a 370 sword ??? I am still using a 355 sword.
Do what most others have done: unsub.
Im Ilvl 377 and never set foot in a raid or mythic, This is exactly what that video we say the other day from Asmondgold or whatever his name is. I was there in Vanilla with a guild for 40 man raids, I was there BC, 40 man raids, I was there Killing Lich King with 40.
After that, The game changed where you didn’t have to have big guilds, trying to get all those people online on a Friday Night.
Im A lot older now and Life changes where I don’t have to find 39 people to get the best loot. Now Im Sitting at Ilvl 337 and saying to myself… Why do I have all this cool gear, to do more WQ’s and Warfronts!!! And that’s when Casuals quit. And that’s Why raiders quit cuz why do it if the gear falls out of the sky!
So I can help you out…just get this
Its a step in the right direction. We need more alternative sources of competitive gear outside mythic+and raids to make BFA better though. Earlier conquest rewards should be buffed to make it worth grinding out for newer characters too. More tears from the mythic+ and raiding community over this is an added bonus. That’s what happens when they let raider io takeover, they will just be bypassed with more alternatives.
Turns out horizontal progression isn’t so bad after all. After you’ve done the raid on normal, what reason is there for you to go back in there and grind meaningless gear that’s gonna expunge in a few months? All these damn wrathbabies…
My understanding is m0 will drop 370, including weapons
Gear is meaningless. It rains down everywhere from the skies. It makes doing anything that’s challenging pretty much pointless.
it’s not really a deluge and thanks to blizz’s wonderful RNG you usually get the same gear slot over and over. of coarse I wouldn’t mind a deluge of weapons, rings, and trinkets if they wanted to deluge me with them, they sure haven’t so far.
It’s not a deluge? I can outfit a new level 120 alt in two days with 340-370 gear and I don’t even have to set foot in a dungeon or raid! lol
Yup, very much designed for a single player experience where you can just log in get your gear, see the content and be done with it.
Why bother to raid, run mythics, or in anyway put work into trying to distinguish yourself in this multiplayer game.
To each according to their desire, from each according to their free time.
Some people can’t handle multiple difficulties for some reason. Me I like multiple difficulties and find joy in pushing myself further. Not for everyone I’m sure and that’s fine. I certainly feel more accomplished doing heroic/mythic raids than lfr or normal
Over the last 13 days alone on an alt I have seen;
- 370 Off-hand
- 380 legs
- 370 (socket) trinket
- 370 legs
- 380 trinket
- 365 (socket) belt
- 370 Shoulders
- 385 Chest
- 370 Trinket
I probably only logged in just those 5 of the 13 days, to boot.
It’s a bloody tsunami.
Are you enjoying the deluge of 370+ gear?
I am enjoying every minute of it.
No, because no trinkets/rings.
It is demoralizing to continually get the same 370 cloak, weapon, shoulders, head, chest while you don’t get any 370 ring or trinket. At least the Azerite ones give residium, but otherwise it is just a waste.
Here is my idea:
370 trinket or Ring, purchasable with X amount of residium as well.
OR
Trade in X number of other 370 items for a 370 ring/trinket.
Mmm. I’ve not been a fan of the overly generous welfare gear since Legion.
Back then, we were given gear vendors for spammable currency that was equal to ~Heroic raid gear that was available at the time. This happened twice. Now, the reasoning is that the NEXT raid was technically part of that same patch, but it was MONTHS before those raids released. By the time the new stuff opened, unless you raided Mythic or farmed for Heroic Titanforges your gear was within a few ilvl of the people who never went above LFR.
Now in BfA, we have 2 separate Warfronts giving 375 and 385 gear every time they roll around, a world boss giving 375 and a world boss giving 385, a rotating weekly giving 370 [mythic dungeon weekly], a vendor giving a 395 ring, azerite gear of the highest ilvl on a vendor because they couldn’t bother to design the system in a reasonable way, and both PvP and M+ weekly chests giving gear higher than the content you did the previous week, and coming soon emissaries will again be buffed into the 400s despite the reason for the initial buff no longer existing due to the aforementioned azerite gear vendor.
I’m sitting at ~376 on my main after raiding Heroic nonstop all “tier” with a good handful of Mythic+ mixed in. Which means nothing because peoples alts are 370+ just from weeks and weeks of welfare gear matching the gear I put actual effort in to obtaining.
Not gonna lie, it definitely hurts my desire to raid. It feels like only Mythic matters now because there’s too much catchup stuff implemented that invalidates heroic raid prog and anything below it.
People can harp all they want about how if you raid for the loot you’re doing it wrong, but at the end of the day, everyone wants to be properly rewarded for the content they do. Why bother raiding if random freebie world stuff gives the same loot? Why bother raiding if Mythic+ gives the same loot with infinitely less effort and no lockout? At least in Legion we still had tier gear as an incentive to raid. Now we have instance-specific buffs. It feels like raids are optional sideline content, kinda like pre-fractal dungeons in GW2.
BfA is a loot pinata and what’s worst is that it’s not even changeling. It’s like they hand you the pinata and a stick. No need for a blindfold to cover your eyes. You just stand there whacking it with a stick until the loot flies everywhere.
Uh, the point is to get you to re-run the entire M+ experience from +2 to as high as you can go…? I mean the point is simple and yes, many will do just this and do a complete repeat of 8.0… me included. And I will find it fun to again upgrade my gear since… that’s the entire point of WoW to begin with… “progression.”
Everything in the game is designed to get you to play the game - that’s the point.
