Naga are my all-time least favorite enemy race in Warcraft and Mechagon is just the Timeless Isle for BfA. Mechagon, while entirely rad, seems mismatched with Warcraft’s aesthetic (but so does Boralus itself). It feels like the expansion is coming to a close despite that being a long way off still. Everyone loves loot piñatas, I guess.
That said, I’ve enjoyed the quests even though it seems like I’m mostly done with them — and if I weren’t time gated by needing to level up a follower then I probably would be. The Shandris thing was really cute and enjoyable, for example, and even though I don’t really like Gnomes, the Junker Gnomes make fun NPC allies in their story. Essences and the punch-card trinket are really neat because it’s fun to have little things to collect. The raid seems like fun and I hope my guild comes back for it, but I’ll PUG it if they don’t after skipping 8.1’s raids. Azshara is a total babe so that’s really cool, too. Her 3D model, not the weird cinematic one. Literally how did they allow someone to draw a character renowned for her beauty that un-beautiful? Yuck.
Not sure what people will take from that. There’s new quest content that’ll be nice for a week to a month depending on how committed a player is. I wish there were more, and I wish there were High Elves, but nothing’s really bad and complaint worthy other than lmfao forcing players to do PvP islands alongside queueable battlegrounds for an essence. WoW’s development cycle in general sucks, imo, and I wish they’d trickle more quest stuff out regularly and seem like they’re “GMing” the game rather than giving us our money’s worth in a piecemeal fashion with a lump of new dailies and world quests.
I enjoy that Blizzard made Nazjatar pretty un-flyable as a big “screw you” to flying whiners. Nice.
This is a “me problem” though. I think life is more interesting outside of WoW right now for me to appreciate it like I have in the past! But hey, that’s probably a good thing!
Yes, the mobs hit like a truck and I love that sense of challenge coming back. Keep making things challenging blizzard I love it! The story is getting juicier with the Tidestone under Queen Azshara, but that real sense of having to work together is great.
One thing I don’t like is the one missing World Quest in Nazjatar, there doesn’t seem to be a good reason for it to go missing.
I keep telling everyone that keeps rushing the content to slow down, there is no hope for this, people will waste day and night to finish 20 hours of content in 3. Just in that quest where you have to pacify the elementals people kept killing them instead, didn’t bother to even read the quest at all.
It seems fine to me although for one of the few times in 9 years of Wow I’m sort “meh”. I played about 30 minutes through some of the intro quests and logged off to play l2r and dota underlords. I feel so dirty.
I was not expecting much even though the patch notes were quite long. But I found myself actually enjoying the Gilgoblins, wtf ever they’re called, more then I thought I would. The questing was fun but maybe because it’s new content. I still need to bring 10 more alts through that so we’ll see, lol.
Upgradable armor is nice. New mounts, pets and toys is always good imo. I like the WQ’s that are games like when you had to do them to unlock that purple horse, can’t remember it’s name.
So far I am enjoying 8.2 and Azshara looks really good. Everything I thought I wouldn’t like or that would fall short is better then I thought it would be so I’m good with 8.2 up to this point.
