Its alright. Like the themes, and the music is quite nice. After the initial novelty wore off I found myself starting to dread having to go back to nazjatar everyday and spend an hour plus, just to have flying in what, a month? I’m not sure I have it in me this time.

This patch is designed to last until the next one comes out which won’t be until after November because you can see all the designed grinding that is made and the very little amount of world quests. This patch is designed to keep you subbed to the game for months. Chances are more people will unsub and go play other games. All the dailies won’t take long to complete once you attain flying. You will have about 1 hour worth of content to do per day if you just stick to doing the world quests and dailies. I will still be subbed to the game and just doing the dailies but will probably be spending all my time playing FFXIV: Shadowbringers.

EU servers got patch like 15 hours later than US. And i’m still at work, so, no.
I am having a blast. I love Nazjatar, the new pvp stuff. I haven’t even had a chance to see Mechagon yet.

I’m not. The map is bad, the story is a joke, and there are too many overtuned mobs in the way of where I am and where I want to go. And that’s if I can even figure out where to go, because damn, they did not want you finding The Laboratory of Mardivas without consulting YouTube and WoWHead.
Agreed. I mean, what’s the point in working to earn flying if you already have all the toons you want at 120 (as I assume most players do)? You’re never going to want to come back to this miserable place anyway, and the heart of azeroth bonuses you’re earning are totally temporary and will be sacrificed as soon as the next xpac launches. Might as well wait and see if the accountants let the game devs try to do something fun in 9.x.
Literally feels like I’m spending time in this game to do nothing.

Logged off partway into friendly with Ankoan after finishing all the quests and dailies in Nazjatar, and touching briefly and having explored Mech…
There’s certainly a lot to do, and lots to collect and explore! Love the sense of being lost and not quite knowing where to go! Unlocked the whistle on Naz, which’ll help getting around, and been doing pet battles to collect the new pets while i take my time there…
As for the rares? They’re few and far in between, not as common as Timeless Isle was, which is nice… they -should- be rare! Once we all unlock flight and start swooping down from above, it’ll definitely make a difference!
They’re just mobs with more HP that do more damage. They’re not exciting.

I feel sort of disappointed as a returning player. In fact, this whole expansion feels sort of disappointing to me. The hype around this patch was real but I’m just not feeling it and I don’t really know why which I’m sensing is how the majority of the gaming base feels. It’s sad, really. I really wanted to love it.

Eh, I disagree.
The Broken Shore was awful. The Campaign was mindbogglingly bland and time-gated, the rares had little to no value, the scenery was bland fel-stuff, literally the only good thing was the mage tower, and that was time-gated too.

This patch feels like they had no idea what people actually wanted from the game, so they just threw everything onto these two islands that function on different systems of progress to see what people like.
So far, I love it! There’s really no shortage of stuff to do, and doing the Nazjatar and Mechagon content on War Mode really made the experience better with the special War Mode event Nazjatar has. I just hope the high of new content lasts a little while.

I have two accounts that will go because of this patch and I managed to play straight through without more than a month or two break for the last 9 years.
Do not enjoy Nazjatar at all. I couldn’t even play on the PTR for more than 30 minutes without logging off because I found it so annoying.
I actually had the same problem with BfA beta though so I guess that should have given me a clue that this was one time I should have saved my money.

It made me check the calendar again to see how many days until August 27th.

I liked the gnome heritage quest but thats all I’ve been able to do between split shifts. I feel bad Tauren got shafted.
Just a reminder, if you’re upset or disillusioned by how 8.2 is so far, FFXIV is about to have a badass expansion releasing in about a week (With early access in a few days).
Give it a try. Show Blizzard your discontent with the only way that matters to them anymore- your wallet.

You act like they didn’t create the game and run it with the people that play it in mind.
It’s not just about the wallet just because they do things you or i might not like.
WoW forums: WHAAAA, we want mobs like classic were it took time to kill things and there is a chance at death.
Also WoW forums: WHAAA, the mobs just have more HP and damage. They take too long to kill.
