Are we the WORLD of wacraft or RAID of warcraft

I’m that case, everything is instanced. Outland is an instance. Kalimdor is an instance. The eastern kingdoms is an instance. If the maw is an instance because there’s a zone transition, then everything is an instance and were arguing about the size of instances at this step.

From each other, yes. It’s instanced.

Guess there is no World of Warcraft then. It is all 100% instanced.

I guess you missed the part about Stormwind to Elynn.

You are extreme hyperbole ALL the time.

How is that any different from walking from Perdition Hold into the Beast Warren’s? I’m not following the distinction.

That’s not what instanced means, at all. You can’t just invent new meanings for words.

How is this any different than going from Oasis of Marr to Northern Ro?

I didn’t say instanced CONTENT. It’s instanced ZONES.

Everybody hates to grind. But WoW cant completely get rid of these grinds. What they did is to reduce it. And they just did that for Modern WoW.

World of Zug Zug

dudes here just spewing good takes left and right

I would argue that if your first statement is correct then your second statement is false

Definitely nothing “World” about the game anymore with 99% of the content being obsolete.

I would say its closer to Mythic of Warcraft or World of Wesports.

I’ll pass on that.

I don’t think that’s true at all. Today’s WoW players want that and more, it’s the devs the refuse to make any WORLD content outside of the current expansion zones.

Maybe it’s because of lack of time.
Maybe it’s the lack of imagination.
Maybe they’re stretched too thin.
or
Maybe they’re out of touch with the playerbase and thus incompetent.

or…

Conspiracy time…

They want to kill WoW so they can work on something else.

There’s gotta be a named bias about the phenomenon where people invent a past to supersede reality to match the notion that things were better back then.

They weren’t better. They weren’t even different, really.

Esports???

I thought you We-sports.

I only have one comment – one thing I learned.

Back in 2016, a dev said in a public interview that NO one thing in WoW is done by more than half the playerbase. Less than half the players raid, Mythic, PvP, or anything else (the dev listed about 8 things).

But if you combine raiding, Mythic and PvP and call it “endgaming”, that could be way more than half the players. Maybe most players.

I call it “veterans getting picky”. It happens in marriages, jobs, hobbies, games, everywhere – if you do the same thing year after year, you change. You get LESS tolerant and MORE picky with each passing year. So WoW 15-year veterans are picky as all get-out. NOTHING would please them. Whatever is now, they hate. Whenever they started, they loved.

That’s why veterans leave – and should leave – they are tired of the game.

Same here, I might’ve done like 2-3 dungeons per week if that for the majority of my time playing Vanilla. Didn’t even know raids existed until I had been 60 for a few months. I did raid but it wasn’t hardcore at all, consisting entirely of MC, Ony, ZG and AQ20.

It wasn’t that uncommon for people to take their sweet time to level (like months/years) questing, doing BGs, and goofing off with friends doing random things like poking lowbies in opposite faction areas. Just play for play’s sake instead of chasing some stupid carrot.
