I don’t care at this point. They’ve written all the characters in the ground. They should just start over with their progressive writing team and ruin characters we don’t love.

A racist character who is racist for legitimate and justifiable reasons (to him) is a compelling character for how taboo the subject matter is now a days.

Are you making the argument that Garrosh being racist because he wants the Horde to be orc only for no identifiable reason is a better justification than Baine being wary of centaurs because they’ve hunted his species for sport for generations?

In all fairness to Baine, there’s nothing at all irrational about disliking Scout Tomul. I relate to Baine on the level that I also would rather stand outside than interact with the Maruuk centar. What’s really surprising is that the writers seem to be very aware that she’s an unpleasant jackass. I just assumed they had forgotten how to write a likable character.
I’m not sure if intentionally writing a character to be unlikable is better, but it’s… something.

He was enslaved by centaurs, his entire race was at the point of extinction due to centaurs, literally every centaur he encountered up to this point has been hostile and violent… no reason, really… NO reason?

I think Baine shows the worst parts of Taurens. There is nothing wrong with wanting to be peaceful but that peaceful nature is what people them in danger to the centaurs. We have had years of Baine being this way, fighting for peacefulness. So to see him do this 180 with a completely innocent group of people is jarring.

I love Baine. He’s great. If it wasn’t for him the Horde wouldn’t exist anymore after BFA.
Only alliance players ever defend him. Been like this since cataclysm and still happens in this thread.

Yeah listen I dig the new Baine and his racist killing spree. It’s so unhinged. It’s so abhorrent. It’s directed by Robert Rodriguez.
After Shadowlands I crave the mineral that is mindless violence.
And it’s so far removed from who I am as a person it’s morbidly fascinating.
(Always gotta’ watch out for the quiet ones, as they say.)
