So does that mean Malfurion is the stronger of the two stormrage twins? Cause the canon of War of Thorns was that Malfurion was locked in combat with Sylvanas 1v1 and nearly forced her to retreat before the whole literal axe to the back thing, whereas Illidan fought Arthas at icecrown and while mostly holding his own still got left for dead. Or is this more a disparity of skill between the two? Wouldn’t think so, Though I’m not really sure how to compare the sheer power of a Demon lord to the pure power of a Druid demi-god?
That was how it was portrayed in game. In the actual novella, Sylvanas was whooping on Malfurion before Saurfang intervened instinctively (without thought).
The game really did not portray the fight well at all.
And when both are the hunters and the hunted are stuck together? We get the Azeroth spinoff of the Odd Couple or something.
I just hope we can kill Anduin. I’ve wanted to kill him since he was a child and i couldn’t even attack him…
Anduin isn’t even worth killing.
He is too good.
I hate him, but you can’t hurt that baby face.
No, we have to kill him.
un-un-undeads
Killing Anduin would make me feel guilty for killing Anduin.
He’d probably return as a light ghost and forgive me for killing him and then go on to save the world.
I feel bad for Anduin because people hate the character because he’s nice.
I think it is less that he is nice, and more that he is perfect.
Not a bad bone in his body even after Garrosh smashed them all.
Oh, and Anduin was totally forgiving of that act and went on to SAVE Garrosh.
FTFY ![]()
He gets frustrated, is haughty, and is insecure. And I do think they play up that every faction leader thinks he’s naive and disregards his commands often. Which, I think makes him an interesting character.
Okay, now imagine it’s Nicholas cage’s face… and not just Nick cage’s face but his face at his craziest…
He reminds me of Pelleas if you’ve played Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. And that didn’t end well.
Yet, none of those things have resulted in any negative consequences… yet.
And that is the problem with Anduin. He can’t do anything wrong. His flaws aren’t flaws. His intentions are entirely pure.
I kinda disagree. I think those are genuine, realistic flaws. They just might be too realistic for a game like wow where’s it’s all about drama and shocking twists.
They are, but what makes a character flaw an actual flaw in a narrative? It has to have significance. It has to be meaningful to the plot in some regard, and it has to result in some undesirable outcome. Otherwise, it is just window dressing.
Anduin’s “flaws” haven’t resulted in anything negative. His “flaws” have zero impact on the story.
I am having a hard time articulating what I mean, but hopefully that comes across the way I mean it to.
I understand what you mean. A scene has to have consequences that lead to a success state or a fail state. We haven’t seen the fruit of any of anduin’s fail states yet, so they don’t seem like significant enough flaws at the moment to drive the narrative’s conflict.
Now please tell this to every single sylvanas fan boy.
Thank you.
Oh that would be glorious. Especially if she slid into him again like she did in the flashback part of her warbringer.
Also people carrying on about how bad arthas was you do need to remember the moment he touched frostmourne he lost his soul. Any book/movie or TV show where someone lost their soul depicts them as having 0 connections or emotions. To Arthas when he killed his dad it meant nothing to him. He could know its wrong but wouldn’t care. Had frostmourne not taken his soul it would have been entirely different
