I have all the requirements for pathfinder now on my main. On all my alts I haven’t done any of the storyline so I can fly to flight paths from Boralus but then I can’t take the flight paths anywhere else.
Do you expect the entire world to be in one season or just that one side is dumb for it being a different season than yours? Not anyone fault it’s called mother nature. Which can’t be equal everywhere. Seasons fall differently like timezones…ya know.
No you don’t. Because there will be rep to earn with a new faction like there always is. And knowing Blizz, it’ll be a time gated storyline again like Broken Shore.
With flight point, flight whistle, and heartstone…you can get around with speed to do the quests with no problem. What will flight do that these other options dont already offer?
Let me explore and enjoy the game from a different veiwpoint.
And had they actually embraced flying, we’d have double the content with flying areas that have quests for flying and can only be reached with flying. Along with dangerous areas to fly over.
Like it used to be when it was first introduced.
They could do a lot with flying if they’d get their heads out of their butts.
But they have something called World PVP, and with flight it makes well not fun with people flying away all the time. If you just have ground mounts it brings a challenge to it, a sense of danger, also to not pvp. Whats the sense of adventure if you just fly over everything and just drop and kill the target or pick up the item and fly off…
Only if you’ve completed the storyline, which I’ve only done on my main. On my alts, I can fly to, say, western Drustvar from Boralus but if I use my flight whistle I go back to a flight path that I can’t use.
If people are flying away, then they’re not going to stick around without flying either. Also, they could come up with creative solutions for warmode instead of disabling flying for everyone.
And you act like you can’t already just run in, kill a mob, then whistle out. You spend all this time saying that flight isn’t needed because of how convenient things are, you can’t then turn around and act like those conveniences don’t exist while whining about how flight trivializes everything.
Judging by the recent patterns, Sure I see it’s 8.2, but that’s probably when another popular game will release something, and Blizz will want to compete with it, for cash wise… Idk if its always been this way, but I know countless times when they will wait to release something, just b/c another popular game releases and they want to compete
Seeing how Legion and BfA were released almost exactly 2 years apart and we are getting 8.1.5 (a non flying patch) around the time we got Legion patch 7.2 (flying) I’m guessing we get 8.2 and flying when we go to Nazjatar (under water) or should we call that Argus 2.0
It’s called operant conditioning. The plan is for each expansion to get us used to a longer delay and more pointless skut work, so it becomes the new norm. They’ll just continue to increase with each expansion no matter how many players they lose as they burn out on doing mostly stuff that isn’t fun to earn back a favorite game feature. Eventually you will have to do 2 or 3 times as much content in order to earn back flight in the prepatch for the next expansion.
Bliz knows what you need to have fun. You don’t want to travel through the world easily. You want to be dismounted by mobs that die in two hits. You want to run around that mountain instead of over it. If they were to allow you to fly you’d have to do things like play the game and at least 40% of your gaming session should be in mundane travel. This is the formula for fun and you will enjoy it.
I remember quite well, I also remember walking everywhere. I’ve been there done that, I’ve spent years collecting all these flying mounts that I can’t even fly in current content.
