The devs dropped the ball here. If I were a dev only concerned about profit, I would have released flying with this patch.
If you remember, a lot of people got suckered in to 6 months of game time about 6 months ago for a sinking ship. Flying with 8.1.5 probably would have squeezed another $15 out of those people to fly around a bit. I’m actually pretty surprised Activision didn’t think about this. The Executives coulda given themselves another bonus.
Not a bit happy that I couldn’t fly within 24 hours of hitting 120 on my first toon and doing a non time / rep gated short pathfinder that is retroactive to level 60 account wide.
Ya can feel free to pass that along.
They are loosing a lot of people, and many are gonna kick the addiction and won’t be back.
JMHO, but there it is.
If ya let me fly then send me to a new zone and I cannot fly there i’m gonna blow a gasket as I unsub unless I just drop dead from sadness.
I really have loved wow, but some times like since WOD it is pretty hard to get immersed and enjoy myself.
This is actualy getting a bit rediculous. Is there a reason this is taking so long or are we still not spending enough time playing to blizz taste yet?
They’ll release it and the 2-3 month grind that is needed to complete it when subscriptions bottom out. That will bring people crawling back for another few months and give them a little profit bump.
These decisions no longer seem to be made around what’s best for the game or the players, only what’s best for the bottom line.
Just for an interesting " experiment " I would love to see them enable flight if you have Part 1 done and trash Part 2…Would be very interesting if that changed the amount of time played that they measure these days?
This is a serious question…so Why would flying make things so much better? You have access to many flightpoints, flight whistle and heathstone , plus ferry depending what side you are on that is. So really you have access to almost every where in short distance, especially when you get the extra location from the rep vendor.
Flying is at the end of the xpack confirmed. Then in a few months they will take it away again. Almost makes me want to bring up that druid class mount issue again
