That’s fair, but “earlier in BfA” and “coming in 8.1.5” still aren’t directly equatable. At least as far as accusing Blizzard of “bait-and-switch” goes, they’d have had to at least strongly imply that flight would be coming in Season 2 or with the Crucible of Storms raid or with the Tides of Vengeance storyline or… literally at any other time than the forecast 8.2.

I’d say more “annoyed by petulant whining” than “uptight,” but that’s likely to vary between myself and literally everyone else. :stuck_out_tongue:

Let me stress, though, that you did not petulantly whine with this thread, as you were conscientious and respectful (and polite, you said “please”) when you asked for flying to be included. If we had more people saying “please add flying as soon as possible, thanks” instead of the constant harping of “omg muh flying give it to me now,” “it should have already been in the game” or “more bait and switch,” the forums would be a lot more pleasant as a whole.

I’m not saying that the anti-flying crowd wouldn’t have to be more polite as well, but if it started off on the right foot with a “please” and sobbing-into-beard emotes instead of something that sounds like a spoiled six-year-old who was told he can’t open his presents until Christmas morning, I can’t help but think we’d all start in on it with a much friendlier outlook. :wink:

i’m not going to rehash the entire history of ion’s crusade against flight. nor, how he lied, mislead the entire player base, and caused millions of subs to cancel during WoD. if you are oblivious to all this history, there are ample sources available to enlighten you.

You guys are gonna love Classic. No mount till level 40, and mounts are very expensive. Chances are you might not even be able to ride anything. and 100% riding at level 60? Good luck buying that, and a mount that supports that speed.

Fair enough. If you don’t want to support your own statement, that is fine. Just don’t expect me to do your homework for you. As it is right now, I have no proof presented to me that shows Ion is a liar, so I have no reason to change my mind.

I am not going to spend a few hours researching random flying statements because you don’t want to support your assertion.

I am not a big fan of moving the burden of proof from the person making the claim, to the person skeptical of the claim.

Your comment brings back memories. I didn’t play in Classic. I actually started in Wrath and rolled a lock. I worked myself through the entire epic class mount quest chain alone, finally getting the epic speed mount at level 69 just a bar shy of 70. Alllll the way to 70 on a standard speed Felsteed, and scratching up every copper and silver I came across along the way to support myself.

I never even joined another group for the first time or a guild till post lvl 80.

*puts on Baine mask and peers down my nose at all the Classic peeps to come, thinking they’re down for the struggle…

Saving gold for mounts wasn’t bad at all, it’s just about priorities. Sure, some won’t realize that if they spend their gold they may not have enough but they’ll learn.
