Are we getting flying on March 12?

Crazy idea. Implement flying at max. If you want it, use it. If you don’t, then don’t!

Fair enough, but within the context of the conversation, it was regarding Ion as a “liar”, which I disagreed with.

While I wish flying was coming in 8.1.5, it won’t really change my disagreement.

This sorta ignores why people don’t want flying, and is just as silly as some of the things the anti-flyers say.

The fact that it’s been 2 expansions now and people have been voicing their concerns about it all throughout them, and they haven’t changed their minds is the final straw for me, too. Also the huge red flag that is not even bothering to go back and let you unlock Pathfinder for old content like WoD and Legion easier. It’s so obvious that they’re just doing this to increase the time played metric, along with the time gated rep grinds on everything, even freaking new races, that I’ve frankly just had enough.

I don’t feel like Blizzard views me as someone who plays this game anymore, I feel like just another number.

I am so sick of this baloney. It’s nothing but a show of power. They take one of the most enjoyable aspects of the game… the ability to fly and explore… and hold it back from the players for no reason other than spite. I have zero respect for the Blizzard team.

I tried to ask nicely, but to no end.

I would like to tell you yes there will be flying, but we all know there is no Santa Clause…just Ion the grinchy.

Not just flying the issue but many other issues making the game not fun anymore as I see it to be fair.

I dare you Blizzard to do something now, stop this corporate bs.

Don’t try to save face Ion just do it and become Blizzard again.

Acticrap can take a hike or just let Blizzard be Blizzard, at least what’s left if any.

This is now and not then, don’t say “we feel” when its not us.

Great game, love it and all that good stuff but I find the game is more frustrating and unrewarding.

and yes you can have my stuff.

Flying in both those areas came out later, there wasn’t flying when they first opened, unless my memory is crap, which, I admit, could be a possibility.

^^This^^
It has nothing to do with real wpvp. Port/flightpath camping is just ganking not wpvp. Real wpvp will be just fine with flying as it always has been. The wpvp cries are just a false flag for Ion to finally get his wish to remove flying. My 2 accounts will close as flying is important to my continuing to pay/play.

they where both part of part 2

I’m pretty sure you can’t fly on Argus though.

no nor was it part of the unlocking requirements. we had flying few monthes before it with broken shore patch

I mean, yeah, it wasn’t. I wasn’t saying that it was, I was simply saying that you cannot fly there. I believe that all of the last patch endgame areas are no flying. Which means that the new area introduced in the next patch will probably eventually have flying, but the last area of the expansion will not. BUT, those areas that do get flying will get it AFTER they are current content.

We aren’t getting flight until patch 8.2 which adds in a new zone… which we won’t be able to fly in.

Flight Whistle doesn’t work anywhere except in Legion at 110 and BFA at 120. Nice try though. Just like a horde player to not be on the same page.

Oh, we don’t need to guess. They’ll give us flying and release the new zone w/out flying at the same time or just shortly after just like they did in Legion w/Argus. Essentially giving us flying, but not. LOL

This has been the standard since BC.

Isle of Quel’Danas, Exodar, Silvermoon City.

They returned to that model in Pandaland.

Isle of Giants, Isle of Thunder, Timeless Isle.

Legion Argus.

The big difference there was we didn’t have to wait for nearly a year to start flying, (except for in Legion w/Argus) AND the new zones were small enough to where flight wasn’t needed so flying wasn’t missed, because we could already fly for the majority of the time we were playing where it mattered to have flight.

Argus & the Broken Shore where too large of a zone to have no flying. IMO if the zone requires that there’s multiple flight paths, you should be allowed flight.

The fact that we had to wait so long to get flight in Legion only to be grounded in the new zone immediately after we were finally given flight back was beyond frustrating…

it’s also why I didn’t bother going there until after the new expansion was released. It’s also why I haven’t gone to BfA at all. I did the ‘free sample’ thing and was not excited or impressed by the new areas (or their population density). I like to explore and I don’t explore anything while I’m standing there slowly killing enemies that are respawning before I’m done.
