I think if they do release a different allied race for DF, it would have to be something linked to DF. As they’re already releasing Dracthyr with DF it seems like maybe that part of the leak was wrong.
I’m not sure what they might possibly come up with as an allied race for DF.

Well no one thinks it will be the covenant races, because people go on about that ridiculous lore nonsense saying they can’t. But also they need something exciting and not just a mount since Blizzard are now the most hated games company right now and WoW is at it’s lowest so they need something a little extra to make people buy this pre order.
They may add a race that is going to be in Dragonflight, we don’t know yet, but everything on that second leak I showed you happened. Who knows maybe it will be those awful Tuskar that some people want since they showed tuskar will be on the dragon isles, sadly.
New race Drakthyr was mentioned and is available with pre purchase and will be playable in the pre patch. Murozond is speculation but even I think he is a good candidate.
The new “allied race” is probably just dracthyr so people can get an early start on them, nothing else truly makes sense…no connection or feels about it unless its high elf? That’s the only truly and they don’t support horde thats wanted badly by many and people feel would work.
Well the leak said “allied race” I just put new race since I couldn’t be bothered writing everything. The leak has gotten everything so far, and the Drakthyr aren’t classed as an ‘allied’ race. The Drakthyr are classed as a hero class and a “new race” like dmeon hunters and dk’s.
So I’m reading into the wording where it says “new ‘allied’ race with pre order”.
But yeh they did say Drathyr avaliable 2 weeks before dragonflight is out if you pre order, but still they aren’t an allied race. So theres still hope.
suggestion:
divide gilneas - half werewolf (in housing areas), half vampire (in the graveyard areas). new neutral allied race: san’layn - the vampire half is homebase for alliance san’layn. a horde san’layn vampire area added to lordaeron (sepulcher?). san’layn intros new class - necromancer. races - san’layn can be nightborne, orc, belf, goblin, forsaken, nelf, velf, human, dwarf or gnome.

If they want to add races, that’s fine, add them - but as core races that we can select when we decide to make a new character. Its how it should always be. Allied races are ridiculous, when most of them are nothing more than reskins.

I have no idea what they’ll be.
The Tuskarr models look really detailed and expressive with better textures/higher polys. They’ve had considerable work put into them and they have an otter mount. Tuskarr were the most requested race for a long time so I don’t think it would be too surprising.

they are cute but the females will go the same way as female pandarens and female kul’tirans - hardly anyone will play them. might as well just make all the races male.
What are darkfallen? Sounds like elves. I don’t want more elves. Too many elves.
i think darkfallen are dark rangers and san’layn. san’layn could be several different races since vampires arent picky
WoW has enough difficulty keeping the main races relevant, and that was a day one problem. Inflating the roster with so many races, many of whom could, yes, easily have been reskins makes an already insurmountable task completely ridiculous.
I mean, the OG Tauren have still never gotten to be the primary focus of so much as a major patch - does anyone think the Highmountain Tauren will ever matter at any point ever again…?
It’s hell for races once their introductory expansion is over in terms of screentime and impact, but at least “real” races get that. So many of these “allied” races are barely even a sideshow in their own expansion.

I like the Revendreth vampires, they are kind of elfy but too much.
I was hoping for one but it does not look like there will be one and I have zero interest to play a dracthyr

this is why a new race made from available races, should have something exclusive, like drac have exclusive evoker. san’layn could be neutral and have exclusive necromancer, then allow several races to play them. they’d have vampire like features, such as claws, darkfallen color choices, etc.
