There is no way to talk about Shadow being “good” in any PvP environment, ever, in any capacity when all three Rogue specs, Unholy, Frost DK, Frost and Arcane Mage, MM, BM, Ret, Fury, Devoker, WW, Boomy, Feral, Aff and Destro, etc exist.

Having to stand still and cast to do damage is automatically bad. Only specs that do unhealable damage while free-casting can make it look good and at the moment that’s just Aff.

Being a damage sponge with poor defensives and zero mobility make what is already a weak damage profile into a joke in PvP. Shadow, despite its numerous reworks, simply isn’t a modern spec in PvP in the same way that Arcane, Frost, Aff, etc are. They’re just not playing the same game and no amount of tuning or good play is going to change that. The best Shadows in the world would be better playing other specs.

That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t play it. If you enjoy Shadow, play it. But don’t play it if you’re after results.

Disc is looking like its making the grand comeback. Hasnt been a while that disc dominated arenas but now it seems like it will be great, oppressive even.

I wonder if we see RMP back as the dominant comp

At no point will you feel capable of challenges other classes can crippwalk through.

Holy Priest main here. It’s far stronger than what most players realise right now. Mostly because they don’t know the synergy between certain Talents and Abilities, and the rotations that go along with it.

I see a lot of Holy Priests running Archon, which on the surface looks better, but is actually far weaker than Oracle, and also contributes to the misrepresentation of the spec.

Here’s a few of the results from RBGs/SoloRBGs. Low MMR, I know… though early days yet.

You nitpicked a few words, but neglected the part where i said pretty much what you just said lmao yea it can do good damage if left alone. And it is good if you have competent teammates to peel for you.
