Are people receiving a single 1H weapon / item getting ripped off?

This is confusing for me. Either I’m onto something or you can explain it to me.

Most of us have been there: You finish the delve / dungeon and open the chest and out pops a single 1h weapon. Yay! it’s an upgrade! But wait… You can use 2h weapons too. So why did it give you a single 1h weapon? Did it just give you the equivalent of half a weapon when it could have given you a whole one? Are all daggers, 1h swords / axes / maces, warglaives, shields, and ohh hand items just half a reward?

If I check my guardian druid’s vault and it offers a 2h agi staff, then I check my demon hunter and it offers a single warglaive has it ripped my DH off? Am I wrong in assuming that a single warglaive only does part of a DH’s full damage potential? If they only offer half the stats, part of the full dps, and half the iL, did I just get cheated because I don’t use 2h weapons? Why aren’t we giving people the equivalent stats, dps, and iL?

Also I noticed that when crafting weapons it only requires half the sparks for a 1h item which seems fair but then if you want to upgrade it with crests it still requires the same amount so anyone needing multiple weapons is paying double for no reason.

The fix is to change the system so that there are so single weapons anymore. Just give us matching sets of items that share an iL. Dual warglaives, dual daggers / swords, 1h / offhand, 1h / shield, etc. Allow us to transmog them individually but give us a whole set instead of half of one.

You may now tell me that I’m 100% wrong and meme to show how cool you are. Have a great day.

Check to see if its warbound.

Those have been handed out like candy and does not have any relation to the character that looted it.

As such, ive got a full set of 220 leather gear for when my MW monk hits 90

2H is cheaper to craft crest wise than a 1H + offhand which is very often why casters mainly opt for 2H because the technical min max offered by the 1H and offhand is insigificnat to the value of those early weeks crests. Sparks are equal amongst both and “technically” the 2H people lose here because the 1H people can make their main hand item 1-2 weeks sooner.

But in the long run it’s splitting hairs. You didn’t get screwed with the delve loot or vault. Casters are eligible for 1H and 2H intellect weapons and this time you got the 1H. You’ll need an offhand to go with it before being able to effectively using it and the 1H and offhand needs to be near equal in ilvl or the 2H is probably just strictly better still. Druids, feral and guardian anyway, use 2H weapons only.

For a guardian there is no 1h weapon possible. They can only use 2h weapons, as they cannot dual equip 1h agility weapons and there are no agility offhands. .

Most melee attacks just calculate the weapon damage of the main hand weapon. Having a good off hand weapon is nice for the stats, but it’s a much lower priority in gearing.

Varies by spec, but the benefit of having two weapon enchants/targets for oils and stones can also be relevant in the choice. That said, I don’t mind holding on to each relevant weapon type anyway, in case balance changes shift things.

having a 2hand vs 2x1h also means you spend less on weapon oils and have 1 less enchant to buy

idk exactly how much it represents but i assume a whole seaosn saving 50% on oils is quite a bit of gold especially if youre the kind of player that chains mythic+s fully buffed all day every day.

My warlock wants 1h and off-hand, why? Vanity. I want the floating flaming skull at all times and it only works with an off-hand.

I did an lfr and 4 of the same 1 hander dropped. The only ones who even rolled on it were hunters, lol.

We had no rogues, so I think Blizzard is trolling you guys

Hold up…

You finished a delve and got a weapon?

You mean you got something other than the same dumpster tier trinket over and over again? You’re lying.

SV hunters can dual wield 1H weapons now

Weapons drop in delves. My survival hunter got a bow once. My fault, forgot to check loot spec.

Welcome to dual wielders 101 problem , we need two good weapons to be good

Well then. Good for those hunters.
