In the Warcraft Universe, Orcs are descended from a sentient Mountain created by a Titan to fight the plants on Draenor. They are more related to Ogres than Elves.

That would be the quillboar. They are the Pigs of WoW. Orcs are just Big Dogs but with no Fur.

And Warcraft orcs are not piggy, though some orcs in other franchises are. Quillboar may or may not be an homage to the pig-like orcs in other media.
