Grievous is nothing.
It’s easy to deal with, the only annoying part is the 5% mob health buff.
It has nothing on Prideful, that could just literally brick your key.

It’s more likely you just never got used to needing so many keybinds. Knowledge carries you farther in M+ than raw reflex. If you know what you are doing, you generally don’t have “oh shi” moments.
At least prideful gave mana returns for healers, can’t say the same for thundering… also to mention how healers have been complaining about grevious for weeks now.
Not exactly. Spiteful probably sucks even more for healers because of melee brains.
Prideful literally made it where you couldn’t finish the key if you pulled an extra mob by mistake.
Thundering is easy.
If we’re comparing SL S1 to DF S1, SL S1 was harder.
You can upgrade M+ items, none of your gear is enchanted, if you know you’re having trouble staying up you should probably go get some defensive trinkets, like that one from Nokhud Offensive, you can get a better belt crafted for you, you can get better boots crafted for you.
There are other questions- are you maximizing the effectiveness of abilities like Ignore Pain?- but usually when you’re having problems the place to start is with your gear.
It’s also important to be aware of the game’s mechanics. Halls of Valor is notorious for offing tanks because over-pulling even a single group can put you in situations where rolling stacks of debuffs make it impossible to keep you alive.
Should have seen keys 2 weeks ago, bursting + grevious combined with tyrannical. Even my 2.5k io friend healers were skipping keys that week.
Almost every healer I know as well was very unhappy 2 weeks ago. Absolutely worse affix combination. (Glad I don’t play a healer)
Ran like 20 keys that week.
Grievous / Tyrannical is easy. Trash is easy mode.
Bursting is not an affix, you’re a priest. Mass dispell it.

Blizz agrees with me, since they changed the Bursting debuff to be dispellable. Used to not be. Now Priests can literally just mass dispell it.

Age has nothing to do with it.
Blizzard is overtuning this game to make it a pay to win game for boosters.
My guess is that the devs themselves are the boosters and they have a switch they press to make it easy to complete +20 mythics with 4 players and a carry.
Look at Diablo Immortal. It costs something like $500,000 USD to reach the “end game” level.
Blizzard is all about the pay to win now and dont mind sabotaging a very well known and respected franchise in order to make money.
They have zero shame.
My advice is to just not even care. Do what you can. Enjoy what you can out of the game. None of that “top tier” stuff even matters unless you feed into the bs that it does.
It’s purely a psychological game to separate you from your money and it’s simply not worth it.
I’ve got KSM the past several seasons as a healer in 100% pugs, as well as 2100 RBG.
But this expansion? I’ve got 8 level 70’s and havent done a m+ higher than 12.
That’s because it’s blatantly obvious that the challenge between the old ksm and the new is probably 10x times harder on the healers. Healers used to be able to carry people but now they can’t. Unfortunately the majority of people fail and need to be carried, so there is no longer an option for me in this game.
Not unless I want to quit my job, move in with my grandma, break up with my fiance, and devote my life to running mythic plus with a group of people who also have no life outside of wow.
