You see Blood elves are like blizz now, posturing , doing a pointless change that actually changes nothing.
You don’t see draenei calling themselves “blood draenei” after the dragedy of draenor or Gnomes calling themselves blood gnomes after thermaplugg, or mag’har being “blood orcs” after the AU.
This was definitely a possible outcome, which is why Rommath petitioned for their exile.
I do wish that he would have instead just had Void practicing Blood Elves just do sanctioned experiments far away from the Sunwell instead of outright banning it.
When it comes to war you need to have any viable weapons ready in your arsenal. Nuclear weapons are constantly used in war, but a country doesn’t deploy them near their capital cities / general populations due to the danger they pose. That’s how I view the Void.
There is enough lore to state that the Void Elves were exiled at any point after TBC due to them being a threat to the reignited Sunwell.
The transformation happened at the end of Legion after the Argus campaign.
you also need to understand the entire kingdom itself the sunwell was build at the interconnecting leylines so the sunwells energies are conected to their entire lands which is one of the reason they have arcane sanctums and to help secure that energy from leaking out ( which was a problem dalaran had which is why they had the demon hunting counsil of tirasfal) this was done by using druid nature based runes stones at key locations. the reason kael’thas destroyed the sunwell because of its tainting was because of this very reason and how it connects to everything and than of corse the night elves came in trying to ruin everything along with the dwarves which stopped all chances of the blood elves rejoining the alliance which they were gonna do during MOP but you know jaina ruined that burning that bridge leaving more elves to hate them. it isnt as simple as people thing there is multiple factors and scenerios on why thinks happen the sad reality is most people dont go far enough in the lore to know these things.
One’s usually standing close to The Slaughtered Lamb, while the other - and a Void Elf - walk around and then join them for a bit. (Which, funnily enough, they walked up as I was typing this.)
That would be the bulk exodus of them. There could be others before that who jsut left.
There is no real, first void elf that I recall.
Like say…Illidan. He went his own way long ago. Then he swung by to get more peeps for the Illidari scene for TBC story at point. then the legion illidari founding as I will call it.
I just looked them up and they only appear if you have void elves unlocked. I don’t have much interest them so i never did it lol. That’s neat. I thought there was only Elsa in the tower and Caledra in the keep. SO only 2.
Oh dang. That’s actually a pretty neat thing then.
I knew the void elves over by the cathedral don’t appear without unlocking them, but having the high elves only show up after too was uh…
I think that was foreshadowing a lot of people missed.
What’s more disrespectful? To refuse to change your name to honor the fallen? Or to walk down a path that leaves the fallen spinning in their graves?
Would Anasterian or any of the fallen High Elves from the Third War approve of Quel’Thalas allying with Orcs, Trolls, and Undead, of allowing them to walk through the fabled streets of Silvermoon? Would they have condoned consorting with demons and relying on their fel magic? Of profaning the Holy Light?
The Blood Elves honored the dead with words and not deeds.
The High Elves honored the dead with deeds and not words.
