Conservators are bad, hear me? bad!
Brit here but I spent some time with Canadian MP’s overseas during the Bosnian conflict, they treated me with so much kindness and respect, even their Commander was so down to earth, was like talking to Bob next door kinda thing, which is unusual in the Military.
They knew that I loved real coffee, so whenever I dropped in to say ‘hey’, they always made a pot of coffee, without even asking me, it’s hard to explain in layman’s terms what’s it’s like to find this kind of normalcy in the middle of a raging conflict.
It was French Roast if you’re curious.
It was a humbling experience and something I will never forget, and I will always tell this story when someone mentions Canada!
My sister is Brit. Wholesome!
Why would people want to report to random strangers over the internet where they live? Didn’t your mother teach you better than that?
STRANGER DANGER!! I NEED AN ADULT!!
I have 2 daughters. One born in the UK and the other born here.
No.

I’ve been in Canada a few times. Once when I was a kid in Ontario and Quebec, and a couple times more recently to BC.
Perfect, Ottawa is right in the middle of both provinces. It was the settlement to please French and English, to put the capital between both.
So all the best flavors happens to be in my area!
Absolutely! I have taken note and yes I love tea!
That’s cool keep spreading the genes dude, most people don’t realize it’s how we’re actually taking over the world, one baby at a time! ![]()

Sadly my job requires me to be in Alberta.

I bet it was We Frenchie deserve some Love we were the first here. And been over populated by english people now
Salut les gars!
Ah yes, my father always tells me of how Ottawa was very French when he was a kid, now there’s the Vanier District that mostly French. I personally speak both languages rather fluently.
But it’s true it’s mainly English speaking here now, although it’s funny, sometimes people speak English then come to realize they both speak French and switch to the langue due to it being primary.
BC, Canada reporting in! West Coast is best coast.
Haha happen to me quite often since I live in Montreal. I talk in english and all then I realise the other one speak french from his accent so I switch. Apparently I have no french accent at all wich is funny concidering I grew up in a small french only town
I like the mix up, I understand some people prefer one language more but it seems to be more the old school who preach that.
My mom can’t speak English for a looney. Her vocabulary is white toast, crispy bacon, coffee and double double medium for tim’s drive through.
Besides of that, all French.
