And i think you missed the point that most people dont care about the abilities, as much as picking what they like aesthetically.
And just because Kyrian is stronger now doesn’t mean they will be the entire expac. As you stated, first tier means nothing. Nothing sounds worse than picking Kyrian because you feel forced to for power, only for it to be nerfed later, and you realize you hate the ability and the covenant.
Play whatever you like.

IDK if I am even going Druid anymore. 15~ years of maining it, considering to go back to my warlock or switch completely to DK/Warrior/Mage.
Druid feels like “Back of the pack” (pun intended)… and have felt for quite sometime… it’s depressing…
Hesitant with taking Kyrian due to its likelihood of Pelagos being beaten to death by the nerf bat.
…Somehow, the blue man group doesn’t scream “druid” to me.
Night Fae is the obvious druid covenant.
Personally, I’m going with Venthyr, cause I can’t pass up combining Berserk, the rage of the sleeper legendary, and Ravenous Frenzy to become a GOD for 15 seconds every 3 minutes.

Lul. I like using convoke on feral to erase stage bosses in torghast. Probably helps that you can get anima to make it not so garbage, but w/e
I can see kyrian as the most risky one. I love the potential damage increase and I love how if used at the wrong time it can be more than useless. I dont think there is another one that stands a chance when done right with the optimal partners. If you pop it while an arcane mage is rocking and rolling with arcane power and 4 stacks plus you just hit celestial alignment and are unleashing big juicy star surges I just cant see any of the other options giving more…
Now the question is what other specs are super worth attaching to and sharing power with? There is a tier list inside a tier list for the kyrian ability. I love it.

Oh, I missed that part. Nope, I’m just claiming to be, like, super chill and stuff. I’m also probably a pretty average casual player so, yeah. Nothing to drop ojes pantaloons over!
I’m kind of annoyed at this point because the game is releasing in a week and we don’t know what last minute covenant panic changes they’ll make yet.
I’d consider going Kyrian for valiant strikes (which was changed a lot since this thread was made), which I think is sleeper-overpowered for M+, but what if they nerf it shortly after release? I hate the Kyrian class ability for druid, it doesn’t even make sense to have a “bond” ability that does absolutely nothing until you use it as a cooldown. Why create a bond with someone that does nothing until you use it again rather than just casting it on someone at the time you want the cooldown? It should have a constant effect of some kind.
The night fae ability may be a nice cooldown for resto. I never bothered to test Empowered Chrysalis so I’m not sure how fast you can stack the shield, but it seems like it would go well with HoTs if anything. That could be interesting.
I like the short cooldown of adaptive swarm, but you never hear many good things about it. Seems like it’d also pair well with Lead by Example for increased uptime.
Jealous of people who already know what they want to do. I’ll probably decide on both my first class to play and what covenant to pick on release day, possibly influenced by last minute changes.

Somehow my wife finally started getting into WoW randomly, and if she keeps with it into SL I will probably just pick whatever covenant she chooses. Otherwise, probably kyrian, yeah.
