Just saw that announced they were quitting and I knew progress had quit but I didn’t know that had quit as well.
This is what happens when you abandon a version of wow with basically zero support and the only support it gets is for 10 people that are doing seasonal challenge modes and selling them as a full time job.
Actually super disappointing that no direction has been given on what is happening after mop if anything and the fact that the raid has remained in the sorry bugged state its in as long as it has.

Blizzard decided not to give any sort of road map for the progressive classic servers only showing 6 months of Throne of Thunder before we get Siege with nothing to look forward past that point
The bugs in Throne are still not fixed with no plans to fix them, the community has to scan twitter, bluesky and github to get any sort of communication from employees of the company
Writing is on the wall here, game isn’t dying it is being killed.

same thing that happened in SoD, is gonna happen here, expect a free boost to go to TBCCA when they decided everything is said and done here.

You can tell something has been mismanaged horribly when vanilla wow is less popular than cataclysm, those progression servers are all they had and they squandered that population by funneling it into sod and then sod having a huge numbers drop off, they were always scared of cata and tried to have an alternative that ended up losing over half the classic player base

they wouldn’t give away the fact that they are doing anything past SoO until they showcased it at blizzcon.
MoP player base won’t last till blizzcon.
Game has been successfully killed.

server merge killed the game way before this lol, and im not even talking about the terrible Mop launch at the beginning. Yea peeporiot your one of the person that was false about everything
All those changes for nothing. Should have just let MOP be MOP like they did all the progression versions. Should have done the server merger correctly and during the pre-patch instead of mid stream of a phase. Shouldn’t have invested challenge modes for the pleasure of the few instead of the masses.
It doesn’t take a rocket science to see why it went belly up. They thought you could throw mud at the wall 20 minutes after launch, 20 minutes a day before the next phase, and abandon the game and it would all just work out. They had it all figured out. Turns out.. whelp.. that is exactly how you fall flat on your face. That is how this master plan of “MOP with changes – because us and streamers know best” probably would go down as a lesson in exactly how to NOT do a classic re-release of a game. Sadly.. they won’t learn a thing and instead blame it on the players. In the nicest way possible by saying we are old, confused, don’t know what we want while all the while the people were screaming not to do it. Well.. besides the shills.. they were all in on this.

Blizzard had many promises that they ended up not following up on.
So many QOL changes that were needed and were not given.
PvP is beyond awful and the fact they refuse to make any class tuning for PvP caused it to die out.
There are also so many bugs in ToT and on Isle of Thunder and also in the dungeons.
At this point why even play? the devs have been silent for many months now and there is zero word on what the future brings and majority of players do not care for WoD.
Oh and lets not forget how there will be another 6 months of ToT before Siege even comes out and I am willing to bet money on there being massive bugs in that raid too that will go unfixed until MoP ends.

Server merge is not at all what killed the game.
You clearly didn’t play MoP if you serious think that killed it.
Not really shocked since all you do is go into threads and either troll or give the most fried takes ever.

WoD and Legion Classic need to be announced ASAP. Players need to know they aren’t wasting their time on a game that’s about to be abandoned.

Neither WoD nor Legion Classic is going to happen. They can’t announce it.
And EVEN IF they were how delusional are you guys - MoP is already a bug fest, how do you expect WoD and Legion to go when the code is even more complex on these expansions

Exactly. MOP bosses have a few mechanics that have tested this staff to the bone on technical skill and the only solution seems to be to abandon ship. WOD only gets more technical demanding as far as these mechanics go. Legion it starts to get to the point almost everything has them littered in them. I don’t think they are skilled enough in the ways of technical skill to accomplish much outside of a boss puts debuff on a player and watch out for fire on the ground.
This even avoids things like.. 25 man trash and boss mechanics can bleed into 10 man? Hello? We expect these people to get something like flex mode to work? Along side more technical demanding mythic bosses to work? Hell man even something like Garrisons to work? Blizzard had a hard enough time duct taping that beast together when the A team was fighting night and day when while was live the first go around. Imagine that egg cracking while they are over in China kissing Xi Jinping’s feet while handing over everyone’s personal data for extended shop sales in China.
It would be a disaster. Sadly.. because sure I wouldn’t mind pushing my character forward and beyond just for the giggles.. but if we cannot get even Joey from the broom closet to hit the server with compressed air once a year to knock the dust off how would anything going forward function.

after server merge 50% of people quit the game. No pvp class tuning. Pve buggued, all of it killed mop. Im not even talking about the awful mop launch lol Keep playing on this dead game my friend
Maybe pvp players but looking at ironforge data (pre and post merge) it is not even near 50%.
Not to say that the mega server merge was a TERRIBLE idea and executed very poorly.

Server merge did not kill 50% of the game lol.
Yet another weird take from Trashmania

Why would people quit the game over a server merge? Lol
MoP Classic players have heard Blizzard’s message loud and clear. It says “you don’t matter.” Of course people are quitting. As they should. The state of ToT after 2 months is a complete disgrace. The lack of communication is, of course, what we all expected. That doesn’t make it any better.
Yeah, if you’re full clearing in 25H you’re probably already bis or very nearly so (I’m 536 in 10m), with nothing to look forward to but 5 more months of clearing the same bug-filled raid. There will be almost no one left by Blizzcon.

yeah I have 3 characters near bis and 1 character I haven’t played for awhile at around 535 and there’s still another 6 months of this?
would be one thing if the company could just communicate plans here
To me, it just confirms that we are not getting WoD. This is the end. Otherwise, they would’ve said so.
