Are all Quel'dorei(Sin included) that practice void magic under Alleria's tutelage considered Ren'dorei?

Becoming a demon hunter literally canonically changes your species.
You become a demon.

They are still considered night elves by their people. Hence why they have a spot in Bel’ameth.

And a reading of that line could refer to “demon” not as a race but as being a malevolent force.

Utterly irrelevant.
You were wrong when you stated that you remain your species.

But we are not talking about species here(and even then if you were born a certain species and you mutated due to external factors I doubt you would be considered your own species at that point, is a human who gets exposed to radiation suddenly a new species?). We are talking about race.

You admitted I was right and backstepped to “b-b-but they think of them as their people still!” which isn’t even true in the night elves case.
or wasn’t. might be now.

And I mentioned that wasn’t the only thing I was basing it on. That reading could mean he considers himself “demon” as in a bad person/malevolent now. and not neccesarily “demon” as a new species.

Also “demons”=/=“species” so this argument falls even more flat. A demon is fundamentally a creature whose soul is bound to the Twisting Nether, and as such returns to that plane upon death. They can be truly killed only inside the Twisting Nether or in places where its chaotic energies leak.

The irony in this statement is hilarious. You don’t know what a demon is, or you’re just lying point blank to try to air your incredulously dumb argument. A demojn is not just “a different kind of creature”, it’s a magically changed creature whose entire personality changes in almost all cases.

But while I’m in the mood to show how dumb your argument is,

Hey.

Zerde.

What’s a Satyr?

You gonna tell me that Malfurion thinks Xavius is a Night Elf?
:dracthyr_hehe_animated:

This is the point of contention. Magic changes you, even biologically but that does not mean you are now a new race! Turalyon for example is a 1000 years old. which is biologically impossible for humans but he is still considered a human.

The Dreadlords are changed based on the magic they employ but they are all the same race.

Honestly, I think they still do. In fact (https://wowpedia.fandom.com/wiki/The_Corruption%27s_Source

Zenn’s been given too many chances, it’s time we remove this threat to all that is natural. Kill Zenn and his minions, and then find me back in Lor’danel.

Even though Zenn had become a Satyr he was still allowed chances to potentially redeem himself(even being allowed to live in Teldrassil). And we have see Satyr just turn back into night elves. So, Satyr feel more like a curse that can be broken rather then something that changes your race. In the same vein Worgens are still humans.

I’m just going to frame this.
This is the corner stone of your entire argument
and it is made of jello.

The cornerstone of your argument is “magic changed them and gave them void tentacles, therefore are now a new species” when magic has changed others in more dramatic ways(like Turaylon now being long lived if not immortal and the Dreadlords getting physical changes) and yet they are still the same race.

Your rules for what changes a races fails a basic test.

When you are fundamentally corrupted into another species, you are not the same race.
I have canonical proof that this happens.

You have “”“Zenn’s been given too many chances.”“”

Which is to say,

You have nothing.

Which again fails how WoW treats races. The death knights are all undead but still are considered their respective “races”. Corruption by a magical forces does not automatically turn you into another species or even another race.

“”“dead things behave like living things that grow, change, and evolve.”“”
zerde, retire.

To be fair, the whole changing race or species thing is very dodgy.

We know drinking too much juice of a cosmic force permachanges you, but you’re still that same species in a sense.

We don’t know if demon hunters lose their ability to have offsprings with other elves. Or that man’ari and draenei are incompatible in the same aspect.

Nathrezim are beings of death, but some became demons and deceived Sargeras, and some of those came back to their original death form (Mal’ganis) somehow.

Xavius.
/10characters

And still not a different race. Even death magic doesnt change their race. Void(or any other type of magic) doesnt either.

Again, Satyr are more of an affliction rather then a race. To the point night elves can get back their night elf form.

You’re a liar.
Also, the Ren’dorei are afflicted.
They must fight the old gods corruption every day.
They still have old god appendages growing out of their changed bodies.
lol.

Only by divine intervention and it happened only once in a vanilla quest I think

And your arguments fall apart when there are dozens of examples of characters who have undergone larger changes then merely having “tentacles” that still remain their original race.

Tell me, what race is Cho’gall?

No, it doesn’t.
Yours does, though.
