Ardenweald is entirely forest

I wasn’t even referring to that night elf cutscene, but thank you for reminding me about it.

Makes little difference to me, I play FFXIV now. Just letting the last couple weeks of game time run out.

Until Blizzard gets their act together, I am done with their trash.

Really late to this, but that’s not how forests work. Lakes and rivers exist within and around forests, they kind of have to. Ardenweald having lakes wouldn’t make it into something other than a forest.

Don’t bother. It never occurred to her that I didn’t list salmon or catfish as being screwed like sharks/starfish/whales/etc are.

Which is an odd statement to make, since you’re the only one arguing all zones are NE held… the lore on Ardenweald is that it was originally not a place designated for mortal souls to begin with… I would also like to point out that the realm of Ardenweald represents the DEATH and slumbering realm of the natural cycle, with the Emerald dream being the true afterlife of all Wild gods… Wild gods do not necessarily live there, and originally neither did mortals, which was why the soul shapes were necessary to be created. However apparently even the developers forgot that little factoid and have once again screwed up previously established lore.

The simple reason there are no biomes for varitable Wild gods, homes for mortals, etc… is that Ardenweald was not meant to be a final destination, and originally had to be modified to serve that capacity in a limited fashion as a result.

Lie. We meet plenty of mortal souls in Ardenweald.
We leave plenty of nelven souls in Ardenweald.

The lore for mortals in Ardenweald is sort of interesting. It seems they never went there by the original design back when Zovaal (possibly) ran the show. It was strictly a realm designed to keep the cycle of life and death running by facilitating nature spirit reincarnation.

It is only when the Arbiter came into the picture, after Zovaal’s Rebellion against the First One’s design, that they began to be sent to Ardenweald. The Winter Queen didnt even know what to do with them at first. Soul Shapes were eventually granted to them so that they could keep serving the cycle of nature in death.

Nelves, for most of their existence, were not really mortal. So, can it be said that Night Elves were always destined to Ardenweald, as pseudo-nature spirits blessed by Elune?

That is no lie, you can read it yourself: " According to Marasmius, in the early days of Ardenweald, it was just him and the Winter Queen. During this time she was awfully busy and was noted to be a real hard worker."-Winter Queen.

“Tirna Achiad was the first dream tree of Ardenweald. After Ardenweald and the Night Fae arose, the first mortal soul appeared, to whom the Winter Queen asked how it was there if it was neither fae nor spirit. The mortal soul had been sent to Ardenweald for devoting themselves to nature in life. The Winter Queen welcomed them and granted them the Boon of Shapes, to allow the mortal soul to become as the wild creatures.”-Heart of the Forest, WoWpedia.

Accuse me of lying again, and you shall be reported, arguing with established lore is hardly a good use of your time. We literally see the Night Elves brought in from Torghast in 9.0, and there is no way to reliably judge the race of soulshapes since at least two we know of are of an alien species (Thiernax and Qadarin).

Maybe perhaps my wording in that case is wrong, but those are places that water based life forms would be and Dreadmoore is saying that there can’t be water based life forms in Ardenweald. The water based life forms would be in the lakes and rivers.

Find me a whale.

You find a whale.

Not how this works. You stated that all sea life can be found in Ardenweald. You made a claim. It’s on you to prove it.

Why are we shifting goalposts again? If you’re using one basis to claim Ardenweald is a night elf zone, you have to use the same in the other zone. Which means all of SMV is a night elf zone.

Alliance=/= night elves. The part you’re referring to was draenei questing. Shifting goalposts it is.

You are cope dude.

I mean, idc, i dont like Ardenweald anyway, I think it’s a garbage zone, and I agree it has very little diversity and shouldn’t be a nature zone. I’m just tired of using shallow aesthetics to claim that “night elves got a zone” nonsense that Dread loves to shove down our throats.

Debatable. The writers aren’t the same anymore, so more likely convergence than original design, especially for the former two.

How does your brain work man? Are you agreeing here that Shadowmoon valley is a night elf zone? Because that is all I need to display your “Mr. I rest my case” strawman takes.

No. Night Elves don’t originate on or have anything to do with Draenor.
But they do go to Ardenweald when Elune turns them into stars or when they die loving nature very much.
:smirk:

So does everyone else in the cosmos apparently… so why is it not a Fyzandi zone? or a Highmountain zone? Heaven forbid it be a Troll zone with Bwonsamdi having his necropolis subdimension there!

Ah so changing the goalposts now are we?
Children of the Stars and all that… no?

No I didn’t.

Find me all of these and a whale that are Wild Gods.

I did not say this. I specifically said

They are two branches from the same tree.

Not everything else in the cosmos is Elune’s chosen favored race.
Not everything else in the cosmos is blessed by Elune’s pet Ysera and linked to the Emerald Dream, which is directly linked to Ardenweald.
Not everything else had a World Tree for each Tirna Tree that exists in Ardenweald.
Not everything else has the Nightsong.
Not everything else loves stars.
Not everything else loves night time in a deciduous forest.
Not everything else is tightly tied to Wild Gods.
etc, etc.
