An in-game community channel would really help getting RP started, very glad to see this getting started and I would be honored to help in anyway I can.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and expressed interest in this project. Weâve worked really hard and are excited to launch soon,
See you then,
G
Also this is me but also I am me, and me is back again
Happy to help wherever I can! Tarts have a guild Alliance and Horde side and we host/help with events on the regular so I will definitely be joining the discord and community!
Thanks to our local man with the Best Hats, WCP now has a fighting chance at hat greatness.
Bumping up to relevance! Keep an eye on this, gents!
Iâll be keeping an eye out for the discord! Would love to check things out and see what goes on. MG has had success in the past, but something new with more positivity would be grand!
Eyes are being kept on this. Stop teasing with the new posts that arenât the update. : P
Update! We will be sure to update soon!
Can I get an update on future updates please?

Ooo! I am excited for the update/new announcements!!! <3
Oh my is it nearly Soonâ˘ď¸-o-clock?
Hey guys!
I just wanted to make you aware of the nifty new âEventsâ feature in Discord, if you havenât seen it already. Itâs still in its early stages, but MAN is it promising.
You can specify a time, location, even now upload a banner image (so like⌠each of your guilds could have a banner or something). You can paste links, and it appears to have some integration with Google Calendar. Additionally, event coordinators can see who signed up for what events. Thatâs more useful for smaller events, but hey! It works for big ones too!
Whomever is in your Discord server can see a list of all the events in chronological order. It shows an icon on the server when one is running. They can sign up for events, and I think it might give them reminders.
Iâve used it a few times, and itâs pretty great! Especially if you got a lot of balls in the air. In YotS, we paired them with threads, another criminally underused feature. Whenever players said they were interested in a âmissionâ (mini-events that occurred during the week), weâd create a thread for that mission. Then, players could talk about it in that thread. Weâd also create an event and link the event in the thread (then pin that message), and link the thread in the event. Once the mission was over, the thread would archive itself after a few days.
As a long-time dungeon master, it was amazing for coordinating and scheduling, especially with as many disparate calendars as we had!
Itâs still missing a few things that would make it truly incredible:
- You canât specify a time zone, but itâs in your local time. So whomever is making the event just needs to adjust from WrA time.
- You canât set up recurring events.
- You canât share events between Discord servers. You can send links, but it just invites whomever gets the link to the Discord server on which the event was made.
- The events donât appear in a calendar. Just a big list.
Still, on the whole, a great new feature I recommend you look into whenever you get time!
EDIT: I got inspired to post this because I saw they added the âBanner Iconâ feature for events. This is still a feature in-development, so hopefully a lot of the missing features will get added later, though I know nothing on the potential timeline.
This is the feature we are using in the WCP. It looks great so far and weâre super excited about it. I hope it gets expanded further into the future. Thanks for the heads up and good looking out!
Yeah, that feature would have been really handy a couple years back, but Iâm glad to have it, makes things alot easier.
