I think it’s funny that you’ve so often told people they need to l2p based on their logs, when you claim to know the spec, when even on a fight as basic as Shriek, you literally went
ToTM > Spark (wrong order)
… followed by
Arcane Power
PoM
Barrage??? (absolute fail, wrong)
Missiles (wrong)
Blast (wrong)
Arcane Orb (too late)
Absolutely wrong burst, and nothing changes in the rest of the fight. You literally did Spark > Missiles on your next burst.
The hypocrisy of doing THAT and saying you know how the spec works while at the same flexing 100% logs (based on ilvl, not actual performance) as “proof” when you’re the only Arcane mage who raided on that ilvl this week and then blaming your actual low parsing percentile on your ilvl is just disgusting.
Don’t make me post the name of your mage and look into the rest of the parses. You don’t know how to play it.

Nah. I think everyone is entitled to an opinion. This joker has just been trolling the mage forums for months now trying to lecture people about how to play arcane, what’s best, etc.etc. Today I finally got tired of his crap and called him out on it. Speaking of which everyone you can stop dunking on him, poor chap is already dead. It’s not polite to beat people that are already so butchered that not even Azeroth can bring them back.

I don’t get what’s so bad about kyrian arcane tbh. It requires setup but the payoff is good. And like Preheat said, it’s not traditional arcane. I don’t view this as a bad thing. Traditional arcane was getting extremely boring.
It’s “experts” talking about a spec/build they haven’t played.
Agreed, Kyrian Arcane is the most fun I have had with my mage since…I dont know when.
Having reached the bottom of this thread, I was hoping someone would be able to show that Kyrian Arcane actually is not that hard to play. But I gotta say, the posts from this guy Snoz are incredibly weak. From “it’s an easy spec to play” to “well, I myself don’t execute it perfectly” to “actually I haven’t even played mage at high end during the last patch.” Are you serious bro? LOL…
EVERYONE can understand how it works in theory. What we’re saying is that it’s very difficult to implement in practice. That was the whole point of the discussion.
It’s absolutely clownish to go from “oh well, it’s easy to understand” to “it’s easy to play.”
I’m nowhere near a top-level mage, but I played enough of 9.0 to appreciate how difficult this new Kyrian Arcane spec is. Even more than the 1-minute fire mage build, it requires timing, spacing, precision, and a sheer number of CD management that no other mage build comes close to. I’ll try to work on it, but even I can see that Raistlin is 100% correct here, and your attempt to refute him is embarrassingly weak.

I dont think anybody except maybe Snoz is claiming it is easy to play, is it a little tricky, involves planning, good decision making, and keeping track of CDs and such? Yes. Is it actually alot of fun and satisfying to play? Yes.
At least that is my view on it.

9.0 Aff was harder then Kyrian arcane.
That’s literally any dps spec as a ranged caster. You don’t plan your CDs right then your damage tanks.

I’m glad you are enjoying it Aoeina. Everyone should have fun with the build they play. My main gripe has always been the push that kyrian arcane is the new meta and everyone needs to get in line. That idea is being pushed by theory crafters and elite min maxers, because as it has been pointed out, it has the maximum possible output. Possible and practical are not the same thing though, and the precision requirement for kyrian gets exponentially harder the more difficult content you get into. I believe the large number of players who are now going arcane specifically because of the new kyrian build (many of whom were fotm fire mages running from the nerfs) are gonna learn that the hardway.
