Which is what I have been saying. Most of the people complaining isn’t a rop issuenits a pebcak issue.
Switch actually tried to tell me you don’t ever pause your rop/CDs to wait for a mechanic
This is the kind of player complaining about rop.

Yes and all of that still isn’t enough in many, if not most, cases. Let’s take them one at a time. Blink is a basic movement ability that every class has, except none of the others are broken like Blink has been literally since the game launched. Ice Floes and Shimmer are mutually exclusive and Shimmer has major trade offs that no other class has on their movement ability talents. Alter Time is very niche, requires intimate knowledge of the encounter and can easily backfire when it loops you back to the original location which may well have a swirly there now. Master of Time is a very minor upgrade to Alter Time. Displacement has been substantially nerfed from what to once was and now has a much longer cooldown and shorter range, it also requires deep talent point investment on the wrong side of the class tree. Slipstream is admittedly great but should be baseline and perhaps even work on non CC AMs as well. You literally can’t take Chrono Shift or Foresight because there aren’t enough talent points and much better nodes that provide throughput. Presence of Mind is almost always used as a pseudo DPS cooldown and very rarely for movement.
The fact that all of these tools combined amount to virtually nothing just further underscores my point that Blizzard have not properly empowered casters to enable them to perform well with the modern game’s movement requirements in mind.
Even if you actively chose to use them you still couldn’t because they are either mutually exclusive or you have to give up major DPS for them which would net you a worse result and make the added mobility irrelevant.
I assure you some other casters (like Warlocks) have it much, much worse. But even if that was a fair assessment that doesn’t mean the feedback of those who don’t want to be “annoyed” while playing isn’t valid or that it shouldn’t be heard or addressed. The fact remains that a lot of the restrictions that exist in the game are all annoyances for their own sake and that’s not ok.
First of all I am literally a lawyer so: can’t stop, won’t stop. Also the purpose of any platform, including these forums, is to be argumentative and to engage in discourse with others.
So what you’re saying is I need to go to law school so I can tell my wife “can’t stop won’t stop” when she says I’m being argumentative?
Yes and no. People always get offended when I do it
I can use it properly. It’s still an awful talent and could be way better.
I don’t think so. Only other spec having to work a few notches below your difficulty is probably a warlock playing portal, and that is only to gain significant damage, not necessarily going to stop them from participating if performed poorly. Demo ramps are more forgiving.
Now i’m contemplating making a mage for giggles. lol.
Says the demon hunter.
Oh wow i just necrod a thread mb
grats on being THAT guy
I’ve always wondered about the people who want to post something like “great necro bro” and yet don’t recognize their post just bumped the necro’d thread. Seems rather hypocritical really.
Ran arcane for the first time this week and ran into this issue a couple times on Sark. Thankfully, we wiped a few times and I got better each time and on the kill I ended up at around 95k. Not terrible for a smooth-brain fire mage.
At that point it’s already been awakened.
Once you spend an hour or so on a dummy just doing it over and over again it’s not that bad. Hardest part for me was remembering to use shifting power
It’s not that complicated. Every clearcasting proc gives youre next 2 arcane blast 20% more damage. So cast clearcasting. arcane blast x2 and repeat. Use Radiant spark every time its cooldown is up.
Only time you should be using ruin of power is arcane surge is up or touch of magi.
I mean there are alot of things I think that should be changed about the spec but I DO NOT want to them to mess up rotation in pvp for pve players.
Sounds simple enough but sadly, that rotation does not fix arcane sustainability. That is the time when everyone catches up and passes us on the charts. Heaven help us if a cleave comes in. lol.
That applies to PvE, at which I gracefully tap out on any information to provide on that subject. Honestly, this is the first expansion I literally don’t know whats going on in the story line. I’ve done like 10 quest this entire xpac. Been playing since vanilla too.
Never understood why people flex this. Just because you have played since vanilla doesn’t magically make you good at the game.
Oh Snozy. I don’t know why you’re constantly negative. You’re one of the only accounts forum wide I can expect to hear you say something predictable along these lines.
I say I have been playing since Vanilla because I can explain how all the rotations of my favorite classes/specs and how to counter every single spec that I play against. PvP wise. That’s all I care about. And if I don’t know something, I come ask other players without insulting their class or asking for a nerf to them because I understand, that since the beginning, you don’t always get what you want…not even close so its better to just use what you have and find a way to get good at until things change.
Now go ahead and bring up arena rating next to justify PvP gameplay like every player gives a flying crap about rock, paper, meta. All the fun will be and always will be BG and world pvp.
By asking a question? It’s a weird flex. It’s just like saying something like “I have been alive since I was born” it doesn’t mean much.
You do realize the game changes between expansions right?
Just because you have been playing since vanilla doesn’t make you a good player or knowledgeable.
I haven’t insulted anyone’s class. When people give bad advice I comment on it.
Arena rating is what gives credibility. It’s how pvp is measured.
Jumping someone solo in a group of 5 doesn’t make you good.
This is completely incorrect, don’t use Spark on cooldown.
Also completely wrong, Surge auto drops a Rune of Power and you use manual Rune of Power after the Surge Rune finishes and on cooldown again as long as Touch of the Magi isn’t active.
