Arcane mage, balance druid or elemental shaman?

Please help me to decide which spec to play. I am interested in all 3 but I can only focus in 2. Which one should I let in the trash can?

What content? Raid? M+ ? Delve? Profession farming?

I’d leave balance druid then. Elemental is like top 5 in raid, A+/S tier DPS in m+.

Arcane mage is solid in raid and S tier m+ DPS

Balance is near the bottom in raid

what about fun and desireability?

I find elemental fun in raid and m+, I can’t speak for arcane mage tho. Arcane mage brings lust and is the best prio dps target for m+

Elemental is one of the top DPS in raid and brings lust and poison dispels among other utility for m+

Balance has raid utility and m+ utility but I think it’s not good enough to justify their eh damage

I find arcane very fun. At the core its rotations are simple, but there is a decent amount of room for optimization in the form of movement management to ABC (always be casting) and their defensives are top notch if you use them correctly. They are extremely desirable in both M+ and raid for their dps, ability to funnel dmg into a priority target and lust

Arcane is a lot of fun when things stay alive long enough. In anything below a 12 it feels so bad if your tank isn’t chain pulling and you’re watching your arcane soul window tick down as you walk to the next pack. You’ll still get plenty of invites though.

I would just stick with shaman and druid

Mage definitly

Druid or Shaman is determined by what you’re doing. But statistically there are FAR more druids than Shaman, so by sheer stats alone, Shaman is more in demand.

Yeah throw the balance Druid in the trash!

But if you remain undecided maybe use a random picker. That is always a good time :+1:

This 100 percent. Arcane is meant to do well in high keys only really, and only when in a coordinated group where the tank knows how to pull around arcanes cds. That’s how to maximize your dps being arcane. Not having either of these makes arcane feel and look (dps meter wise) terrible. I ended up dropping mine because I’m not running keys above 12 this season, and ended up going demo lock instead.

Arcane is fun if you have someone tanking for you. Otherwise you’ll spend most of your time running away or going very slow.

Balance Druid…needs serious help.

Elemental Shaman is really fun and can solo most non-M+ or raid content and does great dps in those.

Currently playing balance. It’s definitely strong. Fun on the other hand…

It has it’s moments, but the rotation isn’t super interesting.

Elemental Shaman I think is the most fun from those three, but if you want to get picked by PUGs then I would go Arcane (or Resto Shaman).
