Arathi Warfront Quests & Rares After 8.1 Launch

Couple of quick and somewhat time-sensitive questions for Alliance players: now that the Arathi Highlands are open to us for doing quests and defeating rare elites and the Azerite war machine, would it be advantageous to do all those quests & rare kills today (Dec. 10) before 8.1 drops tomorrow (Dec. 11) or would it be better to wait until tomorrow? Better yet, will the quests and rares reset tomorrow with the 8.1 launch or are they gone for the rest of the warfront cycle after being completed today? And is the gear or loot getting better after the 8.1 launch? Or does nobody know yet?

Where these quests and elites only come up once a month during each warfront cycle it seems like a relevant thing to think about.

Constructive replies only please, I don’t need people saying that there was a topic a week ago about this very thing buried somewhere in the forums (same people would complain about necroing said topic if I were to find it).

If you complete them today I do not expect them to reset tomorrow. I also do not expect the reward level to jump tomorrow; I expect it to wait until the new raid opens on Jan 22.

That said, I don’t see any harm in waiting until tomorrow unless it just works better for your schedule to do them today :slight_smile:

after the arathi world quests appear the old arathi warfront quests are gone for me. I haven’t done them on some of my alts yesterday when they were still up.

Unfortunately, this is as intended. It was in the patch notes yesterday. No more of the kill 20 mobs to get 200 war resources or several hundred azerite power or a piece of 340 gear. Now there’s just a handful of world quests that award rep and azerite power that I don’t need, or a couple hundred gold that is less useful to me than war resources.

I really liked being able to get 800 war resources all at once since I’ve got several alts at max level and it made keeping them all well stocked in resources easier, which I guess is why it was changed.

I have one character who picked up the old quests but didn’t complete them and he still has them in addition to the world quests. Wish I’d thought to pick up the old quests on all of my alts. :confused:

Thank you, I didn’t see that in the patch notes. And yes, its really disappointing as I much prefer the war resources as well

I actually picked up the warfront quests before 8.1 dropped and they are still in my quest log in addition to being able to do the world quests (I haven’t had time to complete them yet).

Bit disappointed in the quality of the rewards from the Arathi world quests,I was hoping for some chances at some 370 gear and that the world boss rewards would be upped to 385. Oh well, such is life I guess.

they will probably update the reward ilvl once the new raid opens in January
