I actually enjoyed the overall story and what the Developers were trying to do.
Positives:
It was fun to return to the Arathi highlands and see some familiar friends and face an old enemy who is hopefully on the rise and will be a bigger issue in the future.
Negatives:
Final battle should not have been against Marran but Jonathan the enlightened. Upon killing him we should have searched his pockets and gotten confirmation that he was just a follower. Then when we returned to Stomgarde, Marran would be gone and have left a warning of a her return and a coming storm.
Quest didn’t do a good enough job of bringing Faerin into the story in my opinion. Granted she is a Lothar but that isn’t enough to explain everyone treating her like royalty. This quest should have been one part of a larger Pilgrimage storyline where Faerin explored the land of her ancestors and we the player learn more about the history of the Arathi.
