You know there is also Taurens, Blood Elves, and Zandalari Trolls.
Of the Horde race Paladins, I really liked the Zandalari Trolls. In fact I changed my Blood Elf Paladin to Zandalari Troll shortly before TWW release. They are overall taller and easier to see when zoomed out!
Naga and nerubian first then we can have topics about fish and spider boobs just like the dracthyr ones lol
There is no way these options are not going to be added as a new race or at least just additional options for humans at some point. Blizzard is just getting people used to the idea for now.
I get it… We only really have the options of dwarf/draenei/human body styles for paladins which as someone who mains a paladin but really enjoys playing Elves it’s a bit frustrating. My only concern would be that the Arathi body style would be identical to humans just with pointy ears which are not really noticeable. I’m still holding out hope that we get a Night Elf option for paladins or (I know ppl hate this) the Void/High Elf Paladin option.

Actually, is there a reason why Dacthyr could not be Paladins? I really do like my Visage form and would Rock that as a Pally.
Right now the Arathi really are just humans with pointed ears, or elves with shortened ears. It’s possible for Blizzard to add those customizations to the relevant races (assuming they haven’t already).
I don’t see the Arathi getting added as a stand-alone allied race unless Blizzard creates a new model for them, which I don’t see happening, either. There isn’t much point since they already work fine using the Thalassian and Human models and customizations with different ears.
Probably waiting for the full unlock for the class, same as Druid and Shaman, both of which also make sense for Dracthyr.
Eventually the last three classes will get unlocked for every race.

I need the Arathi to be an actual allied race and not just pointy ears on humans. I would genuinely pay separately for this right now.
I would rather have an itty bitty kobold allied race.

They are literally just humans. There are a crap ton of races that deserve to be playable before just another human variant.
Someone mentioned Naga, weren’t they originally intended as a playable race and there was some issue with designing armor for them or something? Although that was a long time ago so who knows now
The main reason cited was leg and foot armor slots and limited transmog, there’s been some hints that camera issues might crop up with the tails.
But they’ve also imo opened the gate for it already now.
Make a human. Transmog a helmet that obscures your ears. Enjoy your new arathi.
I’ll wait and see what happens when Humans and Kul’tirans get the Ear Option soon.
