Happening again on Classic after layering was removed

Same for me. On Singtel as well. Did something change in the last hour?
Was getting lag as soon as I got on during the afternoon, and has persisted throughout the rest of the day. Singtel as well.
Having same issues as well, unplayable lag / delay in battlegrounds. Allies and enemies glitching and lagging around, appears to be a lot of micro stutters / micro packet loss.

Canāt even play a proper game. Canāt do keys, raid and even dailies. So much delay and drawbacks.

super lag spike the whole day , definitely a blizzard world of warcraft issue , other games are totally fine.
Unable to join progression raid due to high latency, was still alright yesterday. Very frustrating, can help look into this with Singtel?
It has been fine for a couple of weeks and this morning/afternoon it started again. Just as I did a vision with a friend so that was a great epic failure.

all the people blaming blizzard, its not blizzard lol. the problem is with Singtel and Vodafone AU. i have been running trace logs for the last week with the same problem you are all having.
i have got in contact with Vodafone and they finally realize there is a problem with their connecting hops, mainly 203.208.174.49 which is run by Singtel.
so if you want to rage, rage at our ISPs, blizzard has nothing to do with this issue.

for me the issue is 203.208.174.49 thats what starts my snowball effect.

and from the WinMTRs i have looked at on this thread its either a problem with Vodafone, Singtel or Telstra connection hops.
its your IPS job to get you to blizzards servers not blizzard.
No lag in any other games
I just recently played cod mw with no lag issue.
Now i want to play wow and got disconnected in loading screen. Managed to get in-game like once? but i had like 10000 world ms and disconnected soon after.
I played the game yesterday with no issue, so idk whatās going on now.
well not all game servers are in the same location, so there will be different hops for different servers, if you can do WinMTRs for WoW that should be able to narrow it down for you, it also could be a totally different problem all together.

As of 16th May 2020, World MS is still high. Joined a Raid and Dungeon, it will spike up massively.
Other games are all fine still.
Any findings of the problem?

It was running fine for a couple of hours and World MS strike up to 2k again at this timing. (6.45PM GMT+8)
Same issue here. Problem started on Friday 15/5 and has been spiking since. Raided on the day before and everything was smooth. World latency has been going up till 16k ms and home has been at the margin of 300 to 500, which is unusual as mine is always at 110

Ping went from 110MS to 500 - 2K MS as of now. Whats wrong Blizzard? No answer at all
I notice it only happens day time for east coast servers.
While the increase in traffic resulting from covid is no doubt a major factor, it should not be used as an excuse.
Let me lay this out simply for Blizzard. You are still operating a business, you are still charging a premium for you services. You have NOT REDUCED your asking price in view of the impaired service due to the situation. You deem fit to ask us to post an assortment of reports. Even to the extent of asking us to do our own tech support and go contacting ISPs and backbones - that is to say, save the legwork for you lot. And the best you can come out with after all of that is, āitās all because of covid, wait it outā? Asking us to spend even more money on VPN? No Iāll not accept that as a solution. Just as you have answered us honestly, we will pose a honest question to you as well. What reason is there for us to maintain our subscriptions during this period then? You are effectively telling us to avoid the game because you simply cannot deliver. You might as well shut down the business then.
If I sound frustrated, it is because I truly am. Being bounced back and forth(tech support here always suggesting to go about chasing after companies while the companies we contact either ignore us or tell us there is no issue on their end and for us to redirect it back to Blizzard instead), Iām end up spending more time wading into things that I shouldnāt have to spend so much time on in the first place as a customer than actually playing. What value proposition is there in maintaining a subscription then?
Kudos to the tech support trying to help but more needs to be done on your part if you want to continue maintaining subscriptions from your customers.
i agree , i was told to use a VPN too but the problem is vpn too have to route to the different servers before reaching blizzard thus im still having the same lag issue. If its a free to play game i understand but we are paying a monthly subscription , ive been trying to play the game but it seems kinda impossible , NOTHING can be done in game , no raids, no dungeons , no pvp , takes literally casting a hearthstone time to open my mailbox , every instant spell or interaction is casting a hearthstone maybe more such as gathering.
