So just got some pieces from the event armor but for some reason the appearance didnt unlock on my other characters
It wasnt the timer btw since i equipped and xmog the piece.
Just for the sake of ruling out, the second character was of the same faction and armor type?
Yes, a Warrior and Paladin, Worgen and Light Forged
May want to file a bug report. I had the same issue with the anniversary cloak. The cloak appearance only unlocked on the toon that bought it.

Often, there will be a buyback timer on the gear. In order to unlock for other characters, you either have to wait out the timer, or transmog some other item with the look you just unlocked. Once the timer is gone, it should appear in your collection for all characters. If it unlocks an opposite-faction appearance, it should also be available after doing this.
Put on the gear and then swap it to what you had on before.
Wow is weird sometimes.
There’s an hour sell back cooldown on the gear. Once that’s up it’s unlocked.
Edit: Might be able to force it to unlock earlier by mogging it with a different appearance or sticking it in void storage. I don’t know. Best option is probably just to wait.

Mogging over it won’t kill the timer. You have to mog its appearance onto something else. Anything that removes the buyback timer should work, including just waiting it out.

Right? I got the boots that match the ICC hc warrior set (appearance which usually drops from Violet Hold… wtf) on my dk and equipped them. Went back to my warrior to see if I had completed the set but nope. Hopefully they’ll fix that…
It worked for me after I threw the pieces into void storage to stop the 60 minute refund thing. Equipping the items did not stop the 60 minute refund timer.
