I used the gear upgrade service on a character I haven’t played in a year or so and it wouldn’t complete even after I waited for 5 minutes. So I ‘x’ out and then was able to get back in. So I flew to the city and set my hearthstone to it but I have no portal out of the city back to stormwind and both my Dalaran and Garrison hearthstones tell me I can’t use this right now.
Any ideas?
Go to the waking shore and use the boat/zep?
Have a mage port you to Stormwind/Orgrimmar? What level is the character?

Try to use the dal hearth stone from your warband collection not your bags.
If that doesn’t work, come back and I’ll log onto a mage for you.

You are clicking it from that toy collection screen or from your bags?
This will only work if the character has done the short quest to get Legion Dalaran, OP has not mentioned if they have or not.
I tried both. It is likely that conversion process that hung up messed something up. I may have to repair my game now.
I can’t remember where this character came from - I am playing the free weekend on one of my inactive accounts and it was a level 60.
I have broken isles explorer on this account so I think I did that.

Thanks the boat worked. I forgot all about that boat since I never had to use it for this. Now I wonder if my 70 who also doesn’t have a portal to SW from Valdraken is going to have the same problem. I was able to use the dalaran stone yesterday on this account.
Although the toy itself is Warbound, each character still needs to unlock it.
If you can get to SW there is a portal to Dalaran next to the AH.
Oh maybe it didn’t do that - it is kind of ridiculous though they make that a toy and then restrict it to characters who did questlines.
I got to Dalaran using that SW portal- I had all the flight paths on that character so I have no idea what this character did or didn’t do.
Yeah the other character the dalaran portal toy still works. So it must be something character specific.
And the game doesn’t even show you in achievements which character did which anymore - just shows earned by warband.
