You’re not mad at me. You’re mad at Blizzard.
You are. Regardless of the acquisition method that one settles on, the fact of the matter is that it ain’t the same challenge as it was back then. Doesn’t matter if it is easier or harder, what matters is that it was the challenge at the time.
That’s why these rewards are synonymous with them regardless of however pointless as objects that they are. This is why recolours are fine but to provide them again isn’t. You cannot recreate the circumstances in which they were obtained originally.
So you are left at one thing: you want them and you don’t care at all about the challenge, therefore you are asking to be given them. Doesn’t matter through what method as you end up with “I want this because I want this!”
And the fact that ya’ll keep ascribing normative values to what is quite literally the passage of time is beyond ridiculous. Especially when you on top of all of this also said this:
The achievements, of which these rewards are intrinsically connected to, are Feats of Strength achievements.
Ya’ll just want stuff because you feel entitled to it and none of you can even be honest about that.
“Oh look, this was a tier that was poorly balanced and thus really easy. Let me get the reward intrinsically connected the achievement of the tier that is regarded as the most difficult one.”
You really don’t get this do you… or are you just a really bored troll?
I can’t help but notice you completely glossed over why I said it can’t be a similar challenge.
Any excuse not to do it. You’re part of the “muh pixels” crowd.
You mean all that junk about TW raids?
Got it, anything that doesn’t support your goal is garbage or trolling.
Can’t let anything get in the way of, “but I WANT it!”
Welcome to ignore.
TW =/= AotC raiding. Learn the difference.
I’m thinking that they would release an unused recolor. I’d still say that the Trading Post cost added to the AOTC mount is probably just a weird bug, like they either intended to apply the price to an unused recolor or they didn’t actually intend to add a price at all.
The original Kor’kron War Wolf is unlikely to ever be made obtainable again.
I agree with you. I would prefer it not come from TW raids, which are a complete blowthrough. I would rather it come from TW raids than not at all, however.
I detailed in my post my own ideal method of acquisition, which involves a Vicious Saddle of sorts that is rewarded from achieving AOTC. That’s just my own opinion, though.
That being said, this conversation is a horse that has been turned into paste at this point, so I am going to drop it lest we all continue to go in circles forever.
“Yikes”, to quote him.
Does it really matter in the end? It’s a ground mount with its only purpose being used by RPers these days. It’s no AH-mount.
How about if Glad mounts come back, they reintroduce rating decay, bring in mmr decay, you must have at 500 games won and 1500 games played in the season and be 0.5% of the 3s ladder in order to receive one saddle for an old glad mount. One per expansion per account
Are there any glad mounts worth the hassle you suggest? I have seen the list on wowmounts, almost none of them is worth the stress. I do wonder why so many people want them. The only real unique feature I could see is the different skin design on the Proto-Drakes, otherwise the AOTC/regular mounts are far more worth the time investment.
How about glad mounts don’t come back.
Yeah it was a joke, it was supposed to be something absurdly hard to get them again. Let’s just say that absolutely no one in GD would be capable of getting it even if it was just like 2700+50 wins or something. They arent even capable of the 2400+50 lol
I always say this: there are certain items in the game that haven’t appeared for years! Players who won old items either stopped playing or simply don’t use certain pieces anymore.
In the past, there was that prestige of standing still in a city with a mount, set, or weapon, but nowadays that doesn’t work anymore - first because of the shards… second because nobody stands still looking at people anymore, people are AFK or doing some content, third because everyone has knowledge about the game now and knows where every item is, there’s no longer that feeling of “wow, where did he get that, that’s so cool.”
Those who defend this idea of “exclusivity” don’t understand that, for example, it’s been years since I’ve seen a single DK using the elite PvP set from Pandaria. It’s been months since I saw a single player using the Pandaria fire sword (the dungeon timer reward).
You could only see these things in certain streamers’ xmog competitions and usually, they are players who use them JUST for that occasion.
Those who turn around and say “ããããa but I see people with old sets/mounts every day” - are either lying or are in a select group of friends who have been playing for a long time and are always in the same place, maybe counting 2 or 3 friends.
Why do you want them so bad, they’re just pixels
Because I want my pixel cow to look cool!
Ahhh well too bad you didn’t get those pixels before
Looks like the MoP AoTC mount might be available via the Pandamonium event, or whatever this 10.2.6 pirate flag means.
Bloodhoof/Grimtotem Tauren have their own racial mounts. The wolf is an Orc Shaman or Warrior mount and fits no other race.
