how? why? I don’t care, why do you care, why would anyone care? it doesn’t diminish the achievement.
It’s a mount, load it up with the other 500 mounts, who is caring about these mounts? I say more for everyone!

I wish pvp elite sets were available, it’s the only thing that never seems to come back
This is good news =)
I mean, I have a couple rare mounts, not a lot, but my go to mount when not dragon flying is the only mount I farmed from ZM. Not a rare one at all. I don’t even bother collecting mounts I won’t use now.
Rewards are not content. You can’t raid a pair of boots.
To use the current example of AOTC mounts the heroic raid is still there. The content was not removed, just the reward.
Seasonal / limited time rewards are good for the game. They encourage people to participate in content when it’s current, which means raids will still be getting filled even if it’s the end of the xpac and everyone is bored. Same thing for arenas and mythic+.
If people could get the mount anytime they wanted then they would do exactly what they’re doing now for the mythic raid mounts: not bother and wait four years to solo farm it.
And I do actually agree with you, just not the way you think. I believe content should never be removed. I’ve been advocating for years for the return of old ZG and Naxx. Both zones should have a bronze drake.
I think the burning of the nelf tree, MoP and WoD legendary questline should also return. Those are important story points. However, do I think the title for doing the cloak while current or the mount for the tree event should return? No.
I’ve been using the wolf, moose and void drake since the day I got them. They are my favorites.
Hold my beer.
As someone who’s earned most AOTC and CE level mounts I’m 100% fine w/ this. I don’t even use the mounts or mogs of 99% of the game (obviously), so why keep it from everyone else. Once the expansion is over with, I think everything should be obtainable in a pretty “Easy” way to let folks get their style and flavor down.
No. Prestige rewards should remain prestige rewards.
That’s a very weak link.
10 bucks on the boots.
Spectral Tiger too please. Duping made it worthless
imagine if they did the dungeon sets from mop or the pheonixes too.
Did they actually use the word never?
At one time they were saying that there was no interest in providing Classic servers as well. Things change over time. Though, personally, I don’t care. Put everything in the game on the trading post. Heck, put the auction house mount up there for 12,000 tender.
Agree more options are better. I have the Mage Tower sets. Put them all on there. I could care less
Is this one of those things where people who have the mounts throw a tantrum threatening to quit, but we all know they won’t ever quit because they’re addicted to this game and too attached to the mounts they collect?
Put everything that has ever been removed from the game or “limited time” in somehow. I’m all for it. And I have some of those things. I’ve never been a fan of stuff being taken out of games just to keep them “rare” or “exclusive.”
If you say everyone had an opportunity to get them when they were available, no they didn’t. Some people weren’t playing the game then for whatever reason. They could have been taking a break due to physical/mental health issues, financial reasons, focusing on other real-life things such as school, work, kids, etc. Or not even have been born yet.
Or for really old stuff like Blizzcon/Collector’s Edition goodies before they added them virtually, the same arguments also apply. I know couldn’t afford that stuff until around MoP.
You all have Achievements and Feats of Strength showing you earned stuff when it was current. Why can’t that be enough?
Why can’t people get over the fact they can’t always get what they want?
World may never know.
Out of my entire post, you only respond to that one bit at the end? None of the valid reasons people could have for missing out on stuff that were entirely and reasonably out of their control?
There’s enough of the “you don’t get everything you want” in real life. I don’t know about you, but I play games for entertainment. And my entertainment doesn’t rely on keeping other players from being able to obtain cool stuff or because my idea of the worth of some pixels is tied to how many other people I see using them.
Because there’s nothing else to say. The arguments I’ve seen in this thread work both ways.
“Oh it’s just pixels”
“Exactly it’s just pixels and you don’t need them.”
“What’s the big deal?”
“Yeah what is the big deal of you not getting that reward? Just pixels, remember?”
“Get over it.”
“I agree: get over it.”
Btw, I think it’s pretty trashy to shame people for being proud of doing something in game and being proud of their reward. You and people like you don’t get to tell people what they get to be proud of. If it’s no big deal then do it and get the reward.
Putting AotC or PvP items on the trading post seems like a step too far. The difference to me is that AotC and PVP items were incentives to play content where is cash shop and TCG items are vanity items.
Now, I have no problems with recolors of AotC or PvP items. That little bit of difference is enough in my opinion that it would not matter.
