MT should not, at least yet, be added to the trading post, you can still go and do the content and get that mount. No current mount you can still get should ever be added to the trading post because that’s just silly for many reasons.
Older mounts though like TCG or RAF sure, because those mounts were not able to be achieved by many people, not really at least. Sure you could have brought TCG cards when it was a thing if you played back then, but also the minimal chances of getting it, the cost of the cards, it wasn’t exactly feasible.
But AOTC, Gladiator, KSM, no those were earned in game when everyone had an equal and opportune chance to get them at the time and stand as an achievement to show off that you did the content. Making a mount of any reward like that just free to everyone sets a bad precedent that we don’t need to play the game to earn rewards, and that’s bad, that just means no one is going to do group content or put in any real effort if they will just get the reward later for no effort.
You know I got a lot of the AOTC mounts, and yeah they are cool to walk around or fly on for all about a week or two then everyone else who is raiding or pay to be carried has them. After that they go into the hole of never seen again mounts. Like so many other mounts in like 400 to 500 count. I am at the point, I don’t care who gets what and how they get it. Nothing in this game is really all that special or makes me that important in RL.
i just see this specifically the same as something they throw on the store that will later be in the trading post. if i want it now make a effort but if im fine waiting years later theres the option to get it. those things wont make me play any more or less. ill either get what i want or just not get them
They have never once brought back challenge rewards. No MoP rewards, no CM sets, no CM weapons, no elite mogs, no elite gear, etc. None of that has ever been brought back and Blizzard has remained consistent on this one thing.
I believe them. And if they change their mind on it, I’ll honestly just stop playing. No skin off my back in either direction.
99.99% sure they won’t be adding any store mounts to the trading post, but 100% sure any that are still on the store won’t ever be added to the trading post, although I could be wrong, but from a business standpoint you don’t have something for sale and also give it away for free.
they have already had store mounts on the trading post including if i remember right the first trading post list of stuff to buy had a store mount. the guardian helm and cloak that was on the trading post started as something from the store also didnt it or was that some eu mess up? tbh the only things from the store i want is lil usoroc and maybe the transmogs but even then i dont want them enough to spend 10 for a pet or 20 for mog. if either of them come to the trading post cool but if not it doesnt change anything for me still
Wasn’t that first TP mount that one that changes colour dependant on the time of day? But yeh I can see the Celestial Steed that was once on the store in the TP, my bad.
