Anyone tried the one button rotation?

So I tired on a few specs and so far it seems ok. If you know the class well using it feels odd since it doesn’t line up big offensive CD and doesn’t use Def CD.

But on a spec you aren’t used ot or haven’t played it before I can see it does help. I myself have never like ench shammy or outlaw rogue so using the one button rotation actually nets a dps gain.

On spec I nomrally play it feels is a dps loss.

On spec I kinda of know how to play and don’t just use the one button rotation. I use it but also sometimes manually use offesnive CD when I need to and skip over using it if the one button rotation suggest it.

Overall I think is a ok funtion to help people learn a new spec or doing easy content like LFR, tw dungeons or heroic dungeons but I wouldn’t trust it beyond that. I can also see new players never learning their spec and just rely on it and that’s bad for people learning the class.

I tried it last night on a new character playing a class. I’ve been very familiar with since 2008. It was convenient, but it actually felt a bit unnatural since I already knew the regular rotation. I also turned on the highlight assist just to see how it worked. All in all it wasn’t terrible. I was able to tank a time walking dungeon and nobody died and I also didn’t look at any damage meters because I don’t own any. but since nobody got kicked and nobody got yelled at I assume it worked fine.

Messed with it on a single and cleave dummies.

Never considers Trueshot, sometimes has me do two Aimed Shots in a row, has Kill Shot on Deathblow procs which is giga gross but otherwise seemed servicable.

Cleave just wanted Multi Shot spam, and nothing but. No Precise Shots here.

It works but it sure isn’t perfect by a long shot.

then it’s working exactly the way it’s supposed to be

Yup! Like I say, it’s an accessibility option and sure serves that purpose.

Do wish it would account for CDs, though.

yea tested on moonkin and it never use incanrnatioin which is a huge dps loss but it did know I had to DoT the mobs first so that’s good I guess. As feral It nve once pair Tiger’s Fury then Beserk and Conovke for burst. It seems like want to use Tiger’s fury on CD and Conoke on CD but never once use Beserk.

So overall to me it feels like if you know the spec a little bit and the basic rotation this feature is meh but if you have no idea how the spec works is great you can do some damamge but the cons is that it doesn’t really teach you how to play that spec at all.

I tested on a dummy with 678 mm hunter and out dpsd it by 40% every time. Ive been too scared to try it in a group lol

A lot of people mentioning that it doesn’t include your big cds - that is intentional.

Put your cd button next to your one button and when you want to do more damage hit your cd.

Cause if the cd was part of your one button, it goes off in the last 10 seconds of a trash mob before a boss and you wouldn’t have it for the boss.

its ok, its much better if you know to use it with your other cds that it doesn’t use for you though.

its good for learning a new class that you dont play as much and doing dps while moving around a bit, but it could be a lot better than it is, overall on a scale of 1 to 5, its a 3.

it will absolutely help newer players or people who are not used to using a lot of skills or talents.

people doing ~3 overall end up doing ~2.5 overall with obr is what it looks like from the lil pugging i did since it came out.

that’s like a ~17% penality from using it. close to the ~20% gcd penality.

i guess it’ll vary depending on class/spec

It was better than I thought it would be.

It opens incorrectly, but I was just out in the world doing weeklies for delve keys.

More than sufficient, that’s for sure. Might try it in a TW tonight.

try it on LFR. on class you have a bit of an idea is wierd and you feel slow coz of the CD penalthy. On calls you never play or is bad this feels great lol

It’s ok, on most classes that I actually know how to play it doesn’t help all that much but on classes where I get overwhelmed by the amount of buttons (Like Enh sham) it’s a godsend.

I may just have classes that I relax on and use OBR.

Only tried it on this character so far. But will try that out after work tonight.

Might be time for me to rip out the Mage I’m terrible at!

looks like it’s getting positive feedback. cool i can finally try out rogue lol
:cherries:

Recently decided to try to learn shadow priest, tried it on the new priest char, and it did it in the reversed way from the way I was doing it. I had a “hmmmm” learning moment.

It doesn’t use Adrenaline Rush on outlaw rogue at all. So it’s kind of a wash. I’ve played around with it a bit, but haven’t really tried it out in more serious content yet.

Yea, Its pretty much the same as GSSE is. Just 1 press=one skill. and you spam it. Not sure, about key spamming like in GSSE being a thing. i never got into it other then using it for clearing Tmog runs. Just could always do way more DPS then the macro. So it was only useful for Tmog runs. And now I dont need the addon anymore.

Also the rotation assistant that highlights buttons is wonderful. I always loved those MAXDPS addons and stuff and these are far better looking and functioning IMO and now never have to wait for updates if your disabled. Big dubs.

its set to not use big cds, anything over X amount of time it basically doesn’t use

It felt like a dps loss as an arcane mage. It felt better as a guardian druid except it has maul baked into it and I rather spend rage on iron fur than maul lol. So it’s not going to be something I’m going to use all the time but it’s a super nice option for players who can use the assistance. The suggested button helper highlighting the next buttons for us is a nice feature also. It was slightly less of a dps loss when using it while still feeling natural to use if your learning a rotation.
