Why should BIS pvp weapons be FROM PVE/??? Logic?? makes zero since. They could easily do both.
If they did classic wouldn’t die at AQ literally every iteration they try.

I would play a Fresh TBC or a Fresh Era any day.
Fresh era is a waste of time. Just focus on classic+ and give it a higher budget/more resources than SOD

bruh it isn’t very hard to get them and the pvp weapons are fine if you don’t want to.
it is basically a non-issue to good pvp - the gearing on Era is good as is.
Because part of what make vanilla great is that it is a total experience, pve and pvp both use items from pvp and pve throughout the life of the game (r10 is used by multiple classes in pve at certain point) I agree that in a dog water game pvp and pve progression should be somewhat separated, but vanilla is not that game.
My favorite build is feral, and I actually think part of what makes it dope is that you do have to secure certain gear to make it really pop, both from pvp and pve, but it’s very good with the right items and play style, and it’s rare to see a good feral, because they have to build right and gear right, and know how to flag carry effectively, because you are still a Druid
Feral needs r12 minimum, 5 hit from actually good items, a feral ap item, and enough int to not go oom. Probably want close to 30 crit so you can shred shred bite clothies. And if you want to be good in raids you have to farm gnomer. And you need all the fancy trinkets, gear swaps, so you can fc. I find that cool in an mmorpg.
For example the rings in the game that provide stam and spell resistance are so vital for a Druid. Because swapping a few key items in can get you enough resistance to survive against that 3 sham team or that 2 Pom mage team. That is a depth that cannot be replicated without serious effort and luck

“Your total experience”… A lot of us pvp’rs end our experience at AQ 40 where pve takes over.
We don’t enjoy raiding. I do it in sod and fall alseep watching nextflix. Just want good pvp gear for pvp’rs without having to fall alseep in raids.
I don’t disagree with all the trinkets and things but I want my weapons to be on par with yours in pve to the end.
Feral ERA is so much better than SOD :d
I mean gm weapons are still pretty good in phase 6, idk about anything in sod.
And yah I bet feral is lame in sod, I tried feral in tbc and I felt like they messed with something perfect. I doubt I would like feral in any iteration other than vanilla cuz it’s such a dope build, you really are a hybrid, some situations call for you to cc and heal, some you want to stay bear and disrupt and soak damage, sometimes you want to burst clothies

Why would I be? Its just a game and if I don’t want to spam 1 ability in 4 raid tiers or delete 3 months of my life for epic PvP gear, I won’t play it instead of staying subbed crying on the forums like so many WoW players do.
i mean u were wanting classic +, but said the base game is a wast of time. to get classic + you need the base game do you not? cause u know thats what its based off of
in reality classic+ ppl r just looking for an entirely new game without being told “go to retail”. they dont actually want classic+ theyre just looking for expansions in a way they can say they dont play the war within. classic+ will be bad and everyone knows it. sod is also going to die when fresh launches.
I don’t play retail, I actually never played past Wrath and based on what I’ve heard about it from RL friends that I trust, I have no desire to.
Classic+ will obviously be built off the base game if they do it, but instead of just the base game I’d rather see updated and/or fixed talent trees, some new abilities, new raids/dungeons, and some competitive PvP modes. I don’t hate Era, but I’ve already played that game and IMO its had its time and place.
Sod feral is the worse pvp spec in game… Well mage then feral but yes its super bad. It’s really good pve straight up kitty but awful pvp.
i think the general consensus is, even as minor of things we ask for like fixed talent trees, a few abilities and some new content, they have shown they cant even do that right. hence the pushback bc people are not really happy with sod. do people like it sure, but id say the majority of classic players arent even playing at all rn, thats prob why theyre bringing back fresh bc people will play again. i wanted classic+ too bt i just dont see it being done right and idk how theyre gonna pull it off cause classic players dont spend money and wont spend money. most ppl just seem to be satisfied with base game releases. lots of 20 year old games are popular this isnt exclusive to wow - theres a reason for that

If your game mode can’t survive if another version of it gets released that is just cold hard evidence that your version of the game is bad and deserves to die.

I mean ok, if they do that cool I’ll just move on to better games. Playing a fresh round of the same game every 3-5 years indefinitely with #nochanges just sounds incredibly boring to me, especially knowing the meta will just be silly warrior stacking because the game is so outdated.

We still havent had a no changes server yet though. Still missing my 100% speed unarmoured mount among many other original aspects.
God all of this. I think it’s time for people to accept that wow pvp is generally trash rn in all aspects of the game available to us.
