I want to hear their story from you. I want to be able to welcome them in future content because right now I’m struggling a great deal. I think I will even bail on groups with Eredar in them. But I want that to change, and you must be the catalyst for that change. So convince me with stories of how sorry they are for being the scum of the Universe. Thank you.
It’s not on ptr yet, it’s being treated as a heritage questline I guess and like the darkfallen look questline. We’ll be able to do the questline on live on the 12th of this month. I have a name and mog picked out for mine!

Oh I thought we could make Eredar in the character creation at level 1?

Yeah it’s just a draenei skin. But you need to do a questline to unlock it for draenei. Not sure about LFD though. But yeah, an unlockable customization like the darkfallen look and the nightwarrior eyes.
Seeing as Velen has tried to make peace with other eradar in the past, it seems in character for him, but yes, we’ll have to see what exactly happens to lead to that choice.
It’s pretty much how all of the unlocks have worked. For example, the night warrior night elf appearance.
You do the questline on one character and then unlock the customization that you can use on any toon of that race.
I’m just curious if anyone can do the quest to unlock the customization similar to Darkfallen or if it’s something only Draenei or Alliance can do.
I would see them as the same as a death knight in many cases. I could be wrong lol because my lore knowledge is a little scrappy. But how many of the Eredar must have been afraid for their lives or for the lives of their families and friends if they had not succumbed to the legion. Who knows what they went through to get to that point. Others may have wanted power, some perhaps just loyal followers of their leaders that fell under the legions influence. I feel like there could be some cool stories there to make up anyways.

Technically, they are ALL Eredar. Draenei is the name of a faction (the ones who accompanied Velen), just like the Blood Elves are a faction.

Tbh i don’t know how they’re going to spin the Manari to be playable… you can claim theyre wanting to join the rest of their species after the Legion fall or you can claim they’re the people that simply joined out of survival which is a terrible excuse.
Survival… the Legion has existed for a millenia and have genocided countless planets… in the Illidan novel you hear about the fate of these terrible planets and its horrendous.
You just going “along” with it and having regret is a terrible excuse.
I think the only proper way the questline should go is if we find out there was a secret 3rd faction of Eredar that broke away from Kiljaden/Archimonde but were still fel practicors but instead of going around eradicating life they were simply at war with the Legion
