If they’re actual gamers they’ll understand that games often have things they have to unlock/earn by playing the game before they can use them.
If they are new players, they can use the experience to learn that sometimes you have to work for the things you want. Though again I suspect they’ll understand that being new to a game that’s been out for 14 years there will be things in game they’ll need to earn before using. Plus, if they were paying attention while purchasing BFA, they will have seen the * which explains that allied races will need to be unlocked.
