I’m just an ordinary World of Warcraft player. I’ve been playing since college and continued through my work, marriage, and having children. Although I don’t play as much now, whenever I have time, I still log in to run dungeons with friends and recall the beautiful scenes of Azeroth. I started play hardcore in 20th anniversary server with my rogue. This morning at 3:18 AM, I received an email saying my account was permanently banned. This is something I can’t understand or tolerate. I haven’t engaged in any illegal or game-balance-disrupting activities. I just log in to run the three major dungeons. During the anniversary server when the Alliance population was very low, there were often no dungeons to run. I don’t understand why my account was banned. I was just one step away from achieving my 20-year-old dream of the T0.5 set. Because I have to take care of my child, I log in very late and don’t have time to participate in the guild’s large-raid activities. But I still want to fulfill my 20-year-old dream as much as possible. My rogue has cost me a lot of time and effort. Blizzard can’t just ban me without any explanation. I’ve applied a ticket to Blizzard but only got AI answer again and again. Does anyone have some question or suggestion for me?
Keep on writing tickets. Write in the https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/support/customer-support/13 parts of the forums
Good luck.
What’s exactly the ban reason? It must be stated in the mail.
They said I violated the Blizzard End User License Agreement.
Another recent ban here at home. Unexplained and with no warning. Customer support so far non-existent- honestly shameful for a company that once used to be a gold-standard. I already charged back my payment for the unconsumed game-time though.
I received a permanent ban on my account from 2004 for “hacking.” I never actually hacked. There is no customer support. The only way to reverse a ban is to be a major streamer it seems.
Asmongold is right, WoW players are stuck in Plato’s cave. It’s kind of insane we pay $15/month just for them to randomly revoke our licenses with zero customer support.
Corporate greed.
Did you buy gold at any stage?
sneki is still killing people in crossroads no ban on skull rock
i have posted awful things on this forum and never been banned what did you do to violate tos lol
You’re just a royal P.I.T.A. Try saying something anti-woke ![]()
I hate to say it but society on the whole is stuck in platos cave.
Phone companies and utility companies can bill you however they like, however much they like, create charges and fees out of thin air to take whatever money they like.
Microsoft permabans accounts that are ‘compromised’ from faults on their server - I lost a 10 yr old microsoft act bc a russian somehow changed my email on the acct without hacking my actual gmail. - how do u let them change my email without confirming it thru the email itself or the backup? and blame me?!?!
If you get banned by blizzard, the only thing you can do is write tickets to them.
If you’re like me and you live in a state with strict consumer protection laws, you can invoke them through your states means of communication to report the issue.
Because, legally, they need to justify why they’re removing your rights to access your account etc., it’s your digital asset with licenses you purchased and own to play certain games.
Your investments into the monthly subscription are also relevent.
It’s important to take proper legal routes, and not to try to appeal to the crowd about it unless they refuse to resolve it entirely.
Tweeting at their customer service pages usually works to get their attention, they’ll ask you to DM them to open a line of communication.
Remember - we have rights, it’s just…really hard to actually flex them now.
why you hack my computar
No and gold buying or something similar wasn’t the stated reason why I got banned. It was something like “use of unauthorized third party software.”
