Anyone get a 9070 XT?

I had to update my BIOS to get the card to even work, but my motherboard is from 2021 and I had never updated its BIOS. Without updating the card wouldn’t put out video, just black screens on both monitors. Once I updated BIOS it’s been working fine.

I might try out a Steam program called Lossless Scaling. It’s supposed to work really well with WoW. Just hesitant cuz I’m worried I’d get a ban, and I’ve seen horror stories on reddit about trying to appeal the unjustified automatic ones. Like you get banned by a bot, then appeals go to a bot, then if you get a human they don’t really look at it either and uphold the ban. Performance in WoW is atrocious these days though so… really tempted. I do use other third party programs with WoW and haven’t had issue. MSI Afterburner for overlay, WeakAura Companion, WoWthing Sync.

New update on 9070xt. After updating to the new driver that release Yesterday. My wife played for 2-3 hours without any hic-up. Even with the overlay on, it seems to be working as intended. Anyone having issue, try the new driver. GL HF.

This has been driving me nuts. I’m only having crashes on my warrior in group content.
Tried all the steps.
DDU and reinstall (original installation was replacing an Nvidia 3070ti).
Reseat.
Killed AA.
Uninstalled Adrenaline and just ran on the windows driver.
Killed addons.
Still just happens on my warrior in group content.

Benchmark software runs flawlessly. PoE 2 and other games run without a hiccup.

What am I missing here?

that’s very specific, are you running an add-on just for the warrior (maybe still runing in the background even if you turned off all the add ons) that may not impact other toons?

Hi, I get the same issue, some time 1.5ghz, sometimes 3.15Ghz.

Normally lower ghz in complicated place with many players.
And higher ghz in the simple areas like outside.

Oddly enough… I disabled Ray Tracing and the problem vanished. I forgot I even turned it on. With ray tracing is it overloading with everything on the screen (playing mountain thane) or what.
Ran 2x dungeons afterwards without a hiccup.

Other than that hiccup, the 9070 XT has been great. Prolly a 50%+ jump over my 3070ti.

Notorious for causing issues with AMD cards in WoW

Is raytracing on?

This Behavior is normal for the 9070 XT In WoW Specifically, you’ll notice in the newer Dungeons its more likely to hit the Higher Clocks vs most everywhere else in the game. More then likely has to do with the Coding of the game and the card doesn’t register most areas as an actual Work load.
