Anyone else worried their Collectors Edition won't show up in time?

Pre-ordered back in April. Got an email saying they are starting to ship in July. Just checked my order and still not shipped. Kind of annoyed because I’m in Canada and so unless they ship priority I don’t think there’s enough time.

Disappointed as you pay for a premium product and get early access but you can’t because code is in the box.

You sure your account doesn’t just get to play 3 days earlier?
I’d put in a ticket or something to see what their monkeys can do for you.

I checked the item description again and the digital code is in a physical envelope. In the fine print they don’t guarantee early access due to shipping issues. The only recourse I have if it doesn’t arrive in time is to buy the digital version and then get a refund in Blizzard store credit when I activate the collector’s edition.

I also called the Blizzard Store, the guy said they are doing their best to get them all shipped but there are too many orders and can’t guarantee I’ll get it in time.

A third party is shipping these so he didn’t have much more details. Shipping to Canada cost an extra 107.00 for some outrageous reason. I can get a couch shipped from Wayfair for free. Why a small box would cost soo much is beyond me. You would think paying an extra hundred would get you something.

Anyways, crossing fingers that I get it in time but it’s not looking good.

There’s a month free game time included in the epic edition. Was that added to your account and used already? If so they will not allow a refund.

I would put in a ticket anyway if I were you, explain your issue.
I would NOT rely on buying another copy and thinking you can refund something later. Blizzard is as scummy with denying refunds as the best of them. It’d be a shame if you bought two products, one being the highest price point, and can’t refund either, and don’t get your access.
This is by design btw. This is doing business and exploiting people for their addictions.
The early access has no content, Ion Hazzikostas said epic BoEs won’t even drop in those free 3 days. No mythic dungeons, nothing of note. The only thing 3 days gets you is you can level a character by release day.
I don’t think it’s even worth it for you.

You’re kidding? That’s gotta be a typo. I’ve shipped entire containers to Canada for less of a premium than that.

For the OP: I’m also in Canada and same thing for me, got the generic July 28 email that they are starting to ship and nothing since then. I’d pre-ordered the Dragonflight CE from them a couple of years ago and did get the box on my doorstep sooner than I expected… with the shipping notification email for it 1-2 weeks after I received it. (Lol, thanks I guess.)

I sent an email to the Gear Store a few days ago asking if it had been shipped and if so, was there tracking information available. I got back a standard reply that the tracking information will be sent out when it’s shipped.

Given my past experience with the Dragonflight CE my guess is that this TWW CE is in the mail right now, but no idea where it is. I’m really hoping it arrives by the end of this week because I’m going out of town next week. Having tracking information so I can coordinate with someone to pick it up would be really helpful.

Just buy the Epic version. They refund the money as credits once it arrives.

Yeah, I figured. That’s just a straight up crazy amount. I’m sure that Blizz could have gotten a better deal for their customers if they’d shopped around a bit. I paid like $10 the last time I had an equivalent size package shipped internationally.

A while ago I preordered Breath of the Wild collector edition from best buy but it was only available in US stores for some dumb reason. So I ordered it from a border town’s best buy, drove there and came back.

Declared it at customs and ended up paying more in taxes than the thing’s price…

Hello, fellow Canadian here. I ordered mine the day pre-orders went live and had this same worry. I received my email that it shipped on Friday July 26th, and received it Monday July 29th. So when it ships, it will ship quickly. Mine was halfway here before I even got the email saying it shipped with the tracking.

I’d say reach out to the Store’s Support. You can provide them with your order number and ask whats going on. I did this a week before I got my shipping email and was told mine was actually ahead of schedule. Perhaps they’ll be able to provide more information or even push it along if it hasn’t been processed yet.

It is not a typo. All international shipping fees are $100+ dollars from the gear store.

It’s not a small box, It’s pretty huge. I was surprised!
If you ordered the Epic edition the box is 21"x16"x13".
It was pretty heavy too.

The 30 days free time is included on the code in that envelope.

Sounds like it can be refunded then to whomever that may concern.

Also in Canada… I see now I’m not the only one waiting for my Collector’s Edition to ship! I keep checking the tracker but it’s only ever been on “Order placed”.

Update! Just got confirmation email that it has shipped. Hoping it shows up soon! To all my fellow Canuckleheads, hang in there!

Oh thats good to hear. I just saw they they’re now sold out and was worried they were refunding yours.

Update: I got an email notice it shipped on Wednesday night, and just received it tonight (Aug. 16). This time around the email notices matched the actual shipping, and it does ship fast once the notice goes out. I’m happy it’s finally here. :slight_smile:

Still stuck without one, and Gear Store Support has no idea where it is. Shipping from a 3rd party apparently.
