Anyone else think the Sylvanas / Tyrande storyline is just a remake of the Arthas and Sylvanas one?

So we have Arthas go and destroy most of Sylvanas’ people and homeland.
We have Sylvanas go and destroy most of Tyrande’s people and homeland.

Sylvanas becomes a Banshee
Tyrande become the Night Warrior

Sylvanas main motivation becomes I must destroy Arthas.
Tyrande main motivation becomes I must destroy Sylvanas.

Arthas got Frostmoure
Sylvanas got xal’atath

If Sylvanas becomes the Lich queen, it might really just be Arthas 2.0

Ya ya I know its a stretch but was a fun thought :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

At least Arthas was forced to do this…
and Sylvanas did the same thing because ?

I was thinking more of a correlation to Maiev, not Arthas lol, but okay.

Arthas went to quel’talas specifically to use the sunwell to revive kel’thuzad. We’ve yet to see the true motivation behind the burning of teldrassil.

To get Nathanos powered up

If anything Tyrande is illidan in this story.

Tyrande is going to be the Alliance facet of the chasing down Sylvanas story line next expac.

You’re probably right. Sylvanas was Garrosh 2.0 so it’s not far fetched that they switch her to Lich King 3.0.

To the ends of the Earth Sylvanas!

Wait, did I just confuse myself? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

“Forced” is a funny way of saying “Tricked into abandoning all reason and thinking he’s the greatest thing on this planet even though his mentor Uther, who’s 1000x the Paladin he is, is telling him there are other ways”

Lol, ‘forced’.

Yes … Exactly…

*"Whomsoever takes up this blade shall wield power eternal. Just as the blade rends flesh, so must power scar the spirit.

Muradin realized then that the blade was cursed”*

The blade being cursed does not mean he was ‘forced’ to do the acts he did. His actions were all choices, from the culling of stratholme, to asking frostmourne to take any soul (muradin) so he may possess it, to yes sieging quel’thalas to resurrect kel’thuzad.

He may have lost his soul but all he did was still by choice, not forced.

This pattern would dictate that in a few years, Tyrande will decimate someone else’s homeland, driving another character to vengeance and subsequent evil. Which I really hope doesn’t occur, cause I can only stomach this plot so many times.

N’zoths death is just a repeat of Dragon Soul and Sargeras being taken out by a mcguffin beam.

I don’t think they now what they wanna do with this game anymore, the story shows it, the gameplay shows it.

Forced…more like…“Waaaah, I’m an upcoming King and I’m entitled, Waaaaaaah Cull Strathholme.”

When will Sylvanas going to need to be saved by Nathanos after Tyrande is about to kill her?

the Lich King, he is/was an Orc Shaman named Ner’zhul who failed the Burning Legion but was given another chance through his transformation into the Lich King. Yes, he controls Frostmourne, and through it, controls Arthas.
Read the book friend

Nerzhul’s soul/body was twisted fused into the armor and the blade which arthas took up and then became fused with nerzul.
I forget which book but arthas has a convo with nerzhul and the child embodiment of his humanity, He kills nerzhul and rips his own heart out to free himself of the last shred of humanity.
Nerzhul was silenced but not truely killed which we find out a few times in game.

Uh he was forced as someone mentioned read the dam lore dude…it’s said multiple times…ner’zhul controlled the blade/helm…

what’s more scarry in a novel…

Velen saw a vision of one possible future where a successive Lich King (which may or may not be Bolvar) rises from the Frozen Throne. This new Lich King is even more terrible than Arthas or Ner’zhul, and sweeps across the land with thousands of skeletal warriors in his wake. When the Legion returns, Azeroth is already dead and the demons laugh and play with the undead.

funny to while the legion is gone they are not dead/wiped out but likely regrowing. chances are to illidan has been turned or enslaved since hes well…mia…

add it up you could see a burning legion+lich king …let’s not forget bolvar said hes not bolvar anymore ingame and well kinda said openly he has no control of all the undead what’s that really tell? he’s a ticking time bomb . and she knows the lich king is not dead and was upset about it…and even cracked his shell of ice…something tells me she may try to waken him by force and unleash him.

she did make the comment death will serve me soon. kinda a big red flag that she knows where to go if she needs a last resort.
