Anyone else still in awe at how ugly Dracthyr are?

Make sure to use it to get the aug spec battle pet before you delete it. That’s what I did before I deleted mine.

they are one ugly race, thats for sure.

What we wanted:

What we ended up with:

THIS is Dragonflight, unironically:

They even got the primal incarnates and everything.

They are not ugly, they are just different.

Nothing that can’t be solved with some extra BTs (that every race needs) and some cute hairstyles and such.

Plus, the second one in ‘what we ended up with’ is something I WISH we ended up with.

Here’s the thing: they’re not bad, but I would want the feminine Dracthyr to have breasts. Also, I can’t bring myself to play one either.

And no, I don’t mean that to sound pervy. What I’m saying and asking for is more of the female representation as an art form.

“But lizards don’t have breasts!”

Last time I checked, Dracthyr were a laboratory experiment. And we also have LFD Warlocks. Common sense took off and out the window a long time ago.

They do tend to be a bit goofy looking, my brother, but they are objectively better then Kul Tirans, so they have that going for them.

Kind of ironic coming from a kT.

You can be feminine without the chest lumps

A reptile without mammary glands is one of the few GOOD choices they made with the Dracthyr design.

The next step would have been unique crest/horns or maybe a slightly altered color pallet to differentiate the males from the females. Cause that’s how the reptiles do.

Or have one be much larger than the other and it doesn’t really matter which. In snakes, the female is typically larger. In crocodilians it’s the male.

I kinda like how mine turned out and usually it doesn’t take much if you make one look masculine or feminine using basics that people would normally attribute to human appearances.

Examples…

My big ol’ Brakka. Body 4 for size, one of the more angular shaped heads with more spikes and long horns which gives that impression of a more masculine appearance.

My smol Zhez. One of the smaller body shapes for less bulk, rounder shaped head with fewer extra features. Body shape alone is generally more feminine but the rounder heads and not loading on the dragon-equivalent of facial hair keeps the character more on the feminine side for the lack of distinct extra chest-baggage.

Then there are… The Creatures. Where you just say “The printer ran out of ink for my Dracthyr” and can’t tell what it is supposed to be.

Im more concerned with their playstyle. 18 years to get a new ranged class, its half ranged, and the rotation is so boring.

Haven’t tried Augmentation yet, tbf

This is the most accurate post describing the situation that I’ve seen

The little fur brigade here will also angrily report your posts, yours was probably flagged already.

Healing on it is fun though

And Chosen Identity is busted… half my abilities cause me to stay in Dracthyr form and not automatically switch back to Visage form… can’t play it. Too busted.

I don’t really think I’m in awe persay but I still think borrowing design inspiration from D&Ds dragon born race would have been much better.

Because of copyright they could not have been exact of course — I don’t think Hasbro would allow that but at least more in that direction would have been nice.
