I always tend to play at my own pace but sometimes there is content that’s easier at the beginning when everyone is doing it.
LFR for example, I tend to do it right when the wing opens as the wait times are lower. Unless I have to grind for something I don’t typically do a wing more than a couple of times.
The 4 boss fight where the vendors are on the timeless island are is another example.
So, probably take this one in, even though I don’t dungeon, but she’ll be slightly ahead when I get back to her, and she’s all in order to get flying. Mostly.
Rather than spend part of the week finishing getting my hunter up and ready?
Two more renowns and a couple last chapters.
I had it in my head it was August for release and was taking my sweet time about it. Even started a Shaman and spent time on my panda hunter from half way through Legion to be able to tame feathermanes. And futile time still trying to get Loque’nahak.
I don’t know why people worry about being behind so much… For 99% of the people, There’s always going to be someone ahead of you. Seems like it’s an emotional response or a thing people worry about just because it’s something talked about often, but without actually thinking about it on your own.
I’d recognize your name and we could chill … unless, of course, it wasn’t your forum character then…
This has pretty much nothing in relation to my why. It’s not about what I can get from them, it’s about an actual community of people where personal responsibility and actions actually mean something. Joining a real guild with a real community and a strong core is the only way a player can even think of having a sense of community in-game anymore, as that actually is the only community possible anymore.
The community, as a whole, isn’t a community that treats people like people. We treat each other the same as we do irl in traffic in a big city, because that’s essentially all we are with all aspects of play being cross-realm, layers, and sharding. A bunch of nobodies that we’ll likely never see again.
I lost the gear chase feeling a LONG time ago and sort have devolved into a casual that just wants a relaxing fun time in game. Recently ive become interested in patch logging for catch up mechanics, as im not a fan of time gating everything. So basically ill wipe out all your raid work by logging in for the patches catch up mechanics, then come back next patch ect.
If you don’t have a group to run with then you can always start your own group. You have a key that you can upgrade and downgrade all week long that you don’t lose. It might take a few mins to find tanks and healers but you can still do it, while you’re forming your own groups this would be a great time to add tanks and healer, also dps, to your friend list.
The only person stopping anyone from doing anything in this game is themselves. There have been numerous people on this forum who have pugged their way from no keys to KSM with only pugs. You can view their progress and who they played with very easily on raider.io to know they actually were slowly progressing with pugs.
Take the game at your own pace. The people who will rush through the patches content in a few days will do so regardless if you are there or not.
If you look hard enough you can find people to group with in any kind of content you wish, at any speed you take the game. If you want to rush through, do so. If you want to take your time, do so. Just make sure you go through at a pace that is right for you so you enjoy the game. Don’t change how you progress through this game to appease a community you don’t know as most of them won’t even care.
