I remember the first time I did it, I tried to run away, adamant that one of my characters would never do such awful things. I returned and reluctantly continued the quest line. When it was revealed that I was slowly fighting back from being mind controlled it suddenly all made sense. I felt so relieved, and impressed with the writing.
