There is no insisting when the game is designed around those of us that play end game content. Those are called facts.
You’re telling people to “just play the game how you want to” and yet you’re still here posting about how people need to pay attention to you and your non-existent purpose in an MMO.
Take your own advice and go back to questing because posting here is completely unnecessary for your purposes.
Because it is. Also you seem really obsessed with world quests…
So I’ll just quote what I said earlier that you ignored “It could be anything from M+ and raiding to playing the AH, hunting mounts, transmog and achievements or even pet battels”.
I spent several expansion getting my Loremaster title but M+ and raiding are “90% of the games content”
By your very own logic, your statements on the matter are incorrect.
If you are a mix/maxer who only groups or does content with others who share your views, than the opinions of others with alternative view points have literally no bearing on you or your ability to play the game.
In fact, if lots of players came to the forums and complained about not being able to get into content because they are being excluded, and so Blizzard changed the Covenant abilities to be a selection tier and not linked to Covenants themselves, your ability to mix/max would be even easier.
You are complaining about nothing, whilst trying to sound stigmatized. It’s a very bizarre flex.
By all means, please do share how much content has been added to SL that involves any of that content you just listed vs. how much of it was added for end game content.
Spoiler: over 90% of it is the end game stuff between M+ and Raiding.
Almost all of it… playing the AH, hunting mounts, transmog and achievements not sure about pet battles. There’s questing, exploring new zones, covenant story’s, professions (except Arachnology) and working on Pathfinder. Even Torghast can be solo content.
You mean each covenant offering their own transmog/mounts, the expansion itself adding a bunch of achievements, and pet battles/collecting taking place in the open world as always isn’t a thing? Huh…
People have played this game just to be AH moguls for a very long time. Same with people just leveling alts through the world. Just because you don’t get the playstyle and think it is unappetizing for you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
They also aren’t the min/max people complaining about covenants or feeling like they have to choose a certain one in order to do best - these are the people who are most likely to choose a covenant on preference first, whether or not it’s the best for their class and have simply been stating as much.
All of the covenants are going to be nerfed and buffed a thousand times during the expansion. People that pick the highest sim are going to be continually swapping.
If you’re just collecting transmogs/mounts, achievement hunting and doing pet battles then why even participate in a conversation about a game system that won’t affect you?
Yeah there are AH moguls. I’m one of them. But just because I play the AH doesn’t mean I don’t also participate in end game content.
It’s not that it’s unappetizing. It’s that it doesn’t make sense. Bragging about flippantly choosing a covenant when covenants won’t affect your gameplay doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.
And right there is the problem. For the large number of players who raid or do M+ at high levels it means we always have chores to do. It’s why balancing is such a hot topic because it’s not enjoyable to choose the best covenant for the level you have to play at and then suddenly have to switch covenants and completely start over your progress because Blizz couldn’t deliver on their promise to make them balanced to begin with.
Because it does affect them given the cosmetic rewards?
There have been people who just play the AH as their gameplay since back when I started, which was way too long ago. In fact, I remember years ago we had a forum regular who was mainly in pet collecting. Some things that are side activities to you make up hours of enjoyment for other people and become the main reason why they play.
Doesn’t matter if it makes sense to you. A question was asked, they answered it, and for some strange reason you feel really affected by the fact people like them exist. They aren’t bragging, just stating what they’re going to be doing. It kind of feels like you’re the own that’s bragging and putting down other people as being unimportant if they don’t play how you want or see fit.
